US Magazine broke the story earlier today that Alex and his girlfriend Malia welcomed their baby son into the world on October 25th. No mention of a name or any details really but this is not surprising of Alex, since he typically keeps family stuff close to the vest.

I was watching CBS earlier this nite and I watch that CBS had like a video where they are saying they are the ·#1 most watched network. In the video actors from most of CBS prime time shows including comedies and drama, were the ones doing the commercial saying that CBS was the most watched network. I saw actors from both NCIS Blue Bloods the new dramas Vegas en Elementary, Person of Interest, also actors from most comedies were in that promo. Then I took ntoice that Hawaii 50 was not even included in the promo. I mean no actors from the show appear on that particular video, H50 is always left out on promos like this for CBS, the only ones I have seen H50 are from Christmas

Grace Park will appear on “The Talk” this coming Monday, the 11th. Last week they had Daniel Dae Kim on their show. Does that mean that Alex will be on the following week? Somehow I doubt it.

I guess at the Fundraiser that Alex will attend this weekend if Malia goes with him, we will surely knows they are still together, if she does nto show up, it wont mean anything now as it looks like they are indeed together so it is irrelevant if she shows up or not, as we will know they are together. valentiens day is next week so maybe they plan ahead this dinner. The chef blog did not stay if the dinner was for only them or for other people but the word :romantic; makes it looks like it is just for them.

I a;lso believe Alex will find something else but he needs to be back on the mainland. You are correct Lizzie if Alex wants to purse and expand his acting skills he has to leave Hawaii for that and go back to the mainland for that otherwise he will get stucked in a place where there is no future for career development in the entertainmetn business even if it is a paradise but for the movie and TVi business, not the best place to stay.
I also agree that H50 has a safe spot on a 4th season beause it is alraedy sign up for syndication but after a 4th season there is no certainty there be others. INot for being negative but I dont believe H50 will last the 12 seasons the original series lasted.
I saw Daniel Dae Kim on The Talk on Friday. He was on a very short time, about five minutes, so he was not able to talk much at all. The only thing he said about H50 was that they would have a couple of guest shots of people, one being the lady on The Talk, another a Houston Texas football player. Nothing else about H50. Then he said he was going to the Super Bowl. It was a long way to go for such a short interview.
Lizzie you were correct about what u mention earlier this year that Alex was spotted Christmas shopping and buying wrapping paper at Ala Moana Center on December 21st.. The girl who saw him, posted alreayd the pic on the FB and I saw it. In that photo taken he was alone, so it does not mean whether Malia was with him or not shopping. She could be waiting in the car or she could had not been with him for the shopping at all.

Daniel Dae Kim will be on “The View” this coming Friday, Feb. 1st. (They are filming in New Orleans). He is such a good ambassador for H50. Too bad Alex does not do personal appearances on talk shows. Maybe it would boost the ratings. He has not done any appearances since before Season 1. Wonder why not??? Surely he is not so paranoid about his personal life that he will not do any talk shows. Daniel has made several appearances on shows and does not talk a lot about his personal life, only a little which Alex could do. One would think that CBS would recommend that Alex be seen more, not less, as seems to be the case.
Did not know that Daniel will be on the View this coming Friday. Yes he is such a nice anbasador and a very good spokeperson. I guess that is why the other members of the cast does not need to be on talk shows or do personal appearnaces as they know Daniel is excellent for that and he can do a wonderful thing representing them without them being even present. And you are right Barbara. Alex really do not do persoanl appearances just small interviews like for ET and briefly encounters but not as much as needed but I guess for him the appearances he has done are enough. and he is satisfied with that. Like I said Hawaii is a very nice place, beautiful city I do not doubt that I wish I can visit it one day but for career development in the acting business is not the best choice for actors who live in Hawaii or end up living in Hawaii.

I did see Scott on Chelsea Handler last week, if that is the interview you are referring to. My thoughts after watching Scott on CH, He did not say it, but I think when his contract is up on H50, he will be out of there. He clearly has no love for Hawaii and can’t wait to get back to Calif.
Yes that is the one. But it is odd Scott has always said in otehr intervbiews he is n ot so much fond of Hawaii why now all Hawaiians get so mad? Also remember that not many people like Chelsea she is very sarcastic and likes to play jokes sometimes bad jokes to the celebrities she interviews and sometimes she makes them look ridiculous. I mean Im sure Scott likes Hawaii but not for living that is very clear. He likes fast paced lifestyle and I guess Hawaii does not offer him that, since he stated that in Hawaii everything is too slow, to monotone.
It is time Hawaiians know that the show is seen in other places and that they are not isolated from the rest of the country. They act like people need to pledge and oath to be living there. Indeed the H50 undercover site stop updating theri site sicne episode 10 of this season. But the site is running smoothly on Facebook though. I’ve noticed it has gone quiet about news of Alex and M. The only thing I have found is on twitter. There is a Malia Jones account (it’s not personally hers) where a picture has been posted by surfmag on 15/16 Jan 2013 showing her and Luke Stedman in the south of France. It’s not a new picture. Hello Barbara Welcome to the board. I noticed that too on Alex info lately as it has been sparce since the end of last year and even until now. In each site related to Alex that I had been, there is lack of info as well or they stop posting. I also do not have Twitter and like you Im not informed as well.
I think if there is lack of info is either because really there is nothing really new to tell or update on him or his family that we already know or life is rosie and peachy for Alex now (LOL!!) or there are news but noone is telling. It can be many reasons as to why there is no current info on Alex as the person not the actor either for good or bad news.

Someone on facebook stated they saw Alex at the Al Moana shopping mall yesterday afternoon buying wrapping paper and walked through the centre by himself . I would have guessed the same thing. Alex and Malia buying wrapping paper together, but maybe Alex wanted to do it on his own. But I still wonder why the heck Malia and Alex seem they live together under the same roof, but when they are outside each one is on their own and not together and do not tell me that baby Lion is still a baby so Malia cant get out with Alex and beign with him. I was there this last October and enjoyed every minute. Was a long flight from the UK but stopped off in San Francisco and Long Beach on the way back. Did not see any filming of h50. Turns out they were shooting the camping episode. Visited all the main 4 islands 1st O’ahu then Maui onto Kaua’i then finally the Big Island. Did not see all I wanted to on O’ahu so returning next September and spending 10 days and hopefully fit in the Big Island again. I love islands
niecie and shelly you are so right in what you say, niecie i loved reading your comment at the top of this page however, there is something about m. she probably is a really nice person and maybe she is right for our alex but the signs she gives off are not positive ones. thats all im gonna say on the matter. we just want him to be happy for all the right reasons.

I really do miss you guys and we are all a kind of family here, and I like that! Shirley all I can say is from what you’re not saying the info you have is hot. However, it really is time to stop giving M press – bad publicity can be just as good as good publicity. Ask any actor, it keeps their names in the press. She is getting too much of it of late of which she doesn’t deserve. Can we talk about Alex?
If I were in Hawaii and getting ready to interview him, his personal life is not what I would ask him about. I would ask him about Skyfall. How he felt about seeing the promos, has he seen the movie, what does he think about almost having that role? Does he see the same movements in James Craig as Bond as I see him do in McGarrett? Is he going to take a clue from Scott and do something different this summer? How’s the search for the new studios going? How’s the new motorcycle riding? Has his shoe collection matched Scott’s yet? I would not ask him one question about M or his baby. Enough has been written about that.
I do agree with those who have said after all he is an actor, so yes he’s hiding alot. I have often said some of his answers to questions in broadcast interviews of late didn’t feel right. He tried to head off the reporters with some of these interviews but something was just not right.
But I must say he does look good and he does look happy. Rehab has helped him alot, because mandatory counseling is always a part of a process like that. I really do see the spark in him that existed in Season 1. That is why I fell in love with him as a fan: for that awesome Thespian Gift God gave him. He is just so talented. A fan on another site said that Alex is the most underated actor on screen today. And just last month Christine Lahti said the same thing, along with how professional he was and how working with him makes her job easier.
Definitely this season Alex has hit his stride. I am enjoying season 3 as much if not more than season 1 also enjoyed some of season 2. He is looking great. I don’t watch h50 for him being eye candy but for his acting. Do agree he is underrated needs more roles. Hope he will do something during the summer. Although I can see he would want to spend time with Saxon and his new son

I agree with all that you said and then some. I hope our alex is okay and I love the way he looks and I am also enjoying this season. I will always stay a fan of his he won my old heart as Mick and he really is an underated actor but I wonder if him not being out there enough is hurting him. Opinion also I don’t think CBS gives them the coverage the show deserves. They all work hard and there is some good talent with all of them. As I said I will keep looking for the genie in the bottle zap me in M place and we can all meet and have a party LOL!

I mean I think that Alex as the main cast should be doing some TV daily shows, like Ellen,, Ferguson once again but I guessed he did that when he was in the Back Up plan since he was starring in the movie and people did not know exactly who he was and he had to promote it with JLO, is like after H50 the networks or the shows stop inviting him again for their shows to talk about it.I guess now with a baby and his hard work he wotn have time to do appareances in tv daily shows and programs like that.
The main hiccup about the main cast doing talk shows, etc during the broadcast season like all other actors is tha fact that H50 is filmed in Hawaii, whereas the majority of prime time shows are shot in Los Angeles, which makes it impossible for them to drop in to talk shows unless they are in LA for a reason. No one is not inviting them back this is just strictly geography. And the reporters that you do see covering the show are more than likely based in Hawaii or paying someone to be their eyes and ears. You know that old saying, “out of sight out of mind,” well with the stars being in Hawaii and the promotion and publicity staff primarily based in Los Angeles, you can see where the problem lies.

I read this interview earlier on another site and my first thought was “what” he seemed confused and out of it, some of what he was saying didn’t make sense, he was juping all over and I was having a hared time following him. Just my thoughts

He did jump around a bit. One thing that stuck out the most was him saying he had an understanding partner and they help each other out.

I doubt that Alex has the time to do outside projects. Scott’s home base is LA and he has no children, right?, so it’s a totally different hiatus for him. I, too, wish Alex would broaden out, but I’m guessing, because he’s #1 on the call sheet, he is just too exhausted to consider doing projects off season even before the baby arrived. Too bad as I’d like to see him as another character.
I’d also like to see him on the talk show circuit–at least Dave and Craig since they are both CBS. Seeing past interviews, such as the one he did with Craig and the one with Bonnie Hunt, really showed him in a relaxed, fun manner. Totally charming.
The Halloween episode was good if for no other reason than the sofa scenes with Catherine. Very fun.

There is a new picture of Alex taken yesterday int he streets of Honolulu. He was riding his motorcycle and I guess he was heading to work. I assume he was riding to work, because in a sidewalk, you can see a guy wearing a red shirt and black shorts and I believe the guys in red shirts and black shorts are part of the H50 security staff as I have seen some of them in BTS photos when they film episodes.
Hi Girls, Like Niecie I don’t get a chance to check enough but thanks to Tiffany and all you it keeps me up to date on things. First, when he did his interview at GQ when she first made an appearance with him he was smitten and you can tell. We know as time goes on and you get to know each other things can change. Second, I have a feeling that at the time he was messed up this is when things happened. Third, I hated when he said she was a tough broad and they were afraid of her, I have a feeling also not because of pregnancy but maybe personality. she might have had her time in the limelight but who heard of her before alex stepped in. I don’t want to think she got pregnant on purpose bringing a child into a crazy situation but one never knows.
I hope he starts making appearances or interviews again like before because you are right we the fans stood by him and it is important to keep up even if you don’t want to or want more of a private life. I look at Mathew Mc. and Brad Pitt even Johnny Depp and even they know when to play the media!!! Hi Miki, Sure I’ll explain just my opinion. In her position of having him as her partner and having his baby, she really doesn’t need to go public. The public knows she exists and lucky her to bad for the others who wish they were her LOL! Hi Shirley, I agree with you. It is sad that sometimes they really can’t be themselves when it could possibly hurt their reputation with the fans. You know it really would be terrible if things didn’t work out for them. He had a very long relationship with the other model girlfriend and maybe one or 2 others not sure but, point is managed to not have any children out of wedlock nay Saxon, which he was younger nor take the leap and get married if somewhere he felt it might not work. With that said to have him now with M and a baby geez…..how unhappy of a situation. so I hope things work out for them I personally don’t know him obviously, but he strikes me as the type that hangs in there and probably will do what he can to make it work if it can/

Have any of you thought that the reason Malia had been the way she has behave before during and after the pregnancy of not wanting to be seen has to do with the fact that she suffers of depression? Depression symptons are pretty similar totheones Malia is experiencing in case she is been depressed and this is what I found on depression (specially post partum depression) on the innternet. Is quite a long but maybe we are jumping to conclusions on Malia and maybe she experiencing depression? Hey Cinthia, where have we been.
For me it’s still digesting the shock of change that has occurred with H50 and Alex. I became such a die-hard fan during season 1 and then in season 2 that feeling began to wane because the dynamics were all off. Then there was the hick-up for Alex and the drug use and everyone was happy to see him recovered and you felt hopeful that things were going to get right again. Then OMG he’s expecting a baby with someone that no-one has had any positive comments about. I noticed Alex doesn’t even refer to her in a loving way he calls her his partner, (not the love of his life), he has mentioned how she is tough, not exactly a ringing endorsement for his fans to embrace the mother of his child.
While I do believe this was not a planned pregancy for Alex, I do believe it was definitely planned by Malia (smart girl, I would have done the same thing if I were in her shoes.) and as angry as fans wish to be with her; she did not get herself pregant. Alex dropped the ball and now he has to live with it. I don’t think he is in love with this woman, but children tend to make you do things you don’t always want to do. Alex already has experienced being a long distance parent, he may not want to do that again. Either way he is now tied to her for the next 18 years in some capacity. I still enjoy H50, but I’m definitely not as in love as I used to be.

I agree; very well said. I just don’t get how he was even attracted to her; ok I get it but as the mother of your child and stephmother to your other son? Have you all googled her modeling photos? I’m not a prude, but, to me, some of them are bordering on porn. He couldn’t have hooked up with someone a bit more normal, down to earth, moral, etc.? And as you said, if not planned, has he learned nothing about birth control? If he didn’t want a repeat of being an absent father, why not take every precaution? And even if a pregnancy didn’t occur, what about STDs? Although, if he was having his drug issues during this time, he may not have been thinking very clearly.
I have heard some things about her and her family from sources that I can’t share; suffice to say, I don’t dislike her just because she’s with Alex. I think she is toxic to both him and now his two sons, although is he sure that Lion is his? Rumor was she was trying to get back with her husband when she became pregnant. I hate to even suggest this, but it kind of ties in with info I’ve been hearing. And I’ve yet to read that she is legally divorced.
This whole thing is a mess. And the only reason I say any of this is because we all care about Alex the person, not just the actor. Any actor can mess up his life and still perform (Charlie Sheen come to mind?), but I couldn’t care less if CS got his personal act together or not because I don’t care about him as a person. A lot of us have been fans of Alex since forever and have watched him grow as a performer and have stuck with him, even through less than great material or projects. We wish only the best for him, both personally and professionally. It is with concern for him that I even posted this.

I have often wondered if Lion was Alex’s. Now Luke Stedman showing up and still no sign of Malia. Are they trying to get back together? Also seems a long stay for Alex’s mother. Is she looking after her grandsons? I get the feeling Malia is out of there. The person who tweeted before baby born had mentioned her friend’s babysitter was going to be theirs. Even they have not said anything since. I really do hope this relationship has ended. Alex of late has not mentioned Malia with any kind of love. The last being she is a supportive partner. That to me does not have any feeling.

I mean she showed up in front of 1000′s of people, Reporters & Cameras letting everybody know that she carries Alex’s child and nobody asked her a single Question about the Baby or Alex … why not ? She is used to all that, because of her earlier modeling & surfing and known well by the Hawaiians … Why all the secrecy & hiding ? ..It would be very interesting to hear what the sources from Shirley saying about her & the Rumor of getting back with Luke. You know that he’s in Hawaii right now & the same time Alex’s mother is also spending time with her Son & Grandsons . I read on another site that she’s already 2 Month there & I guess living with them in Alex’s House . And Mandy to answer your question: I know there are those who follow Alex ten times more intensely than I do, so you tend to have a sixth sense about him, especially when you truly want notthing but the best for him. That is the basis for the comments people have made. In their gut they feel as if something is not quite right. I tend to agree.
Personally I am tired of hearing about Alex’s personal life. It really is intefering with his professional life. Last year this time Alex had been on several covers and even more feature articles had been written about him in major magazines. i want that back!!!! Plus, he was not the hermit in Hawaii that he has become. The only fans reaping the benefit of his celebrity seems to be those living on an island in the middle of the ocean. What about fhe fans who made his visiablity possible before H50?

I also come to this site and other sites to find out what isgoing on with Alex and you are right when you say alex was not the hermit that he has become now. Also this year when fans started to worry that something was not wrong with him, there were all kind of speculation and rumors, the ones who intensely follow Alex real hard, said that there was nothing wrong that perhaps he was tired or exhausted, even if im sure they knew what was going on but did not want to talk about it.
But other fans were not that naive and believed that Alex was sick even if other fans did not want fans saying he was sick and sick, and at the end those were right, the ones that did not lie and standed up for what they believe it was going on and indeed something was wrong, we have that gut. Now with Malia is similar, many fans have that guts and say it out loud something is off, with that relationship other fans think differently and do not want others to say that becuase thye believe is speculation and gossip so they ask those to stop talking about it.
My guts say something is off. and you are right when you say the ones benefit from Alex celebrity at this moment are the Hawaiians He is a big star there. The man is as happy as a clam these days and it shows in everything he says, and yet some so called fans seem to be in denial about his relationship with Malia. When do “business deals” include sharing a life with current children and giving birth to another? He’s happy. Why is that so hard to accept for some people?

That he is happy is the most important thing. He certainly seemed relaxed and happy when he was signing autographs, and chatting to us fans on the beach at SOTB last month. He made us laugh because he said Malia was 8 mths, and she gets cranky if he’s too affectionate with fans.
