Thanks for the warning that Alex had canceled his trip to England. I am terribly disappointed as is my granddaughter. I no sooner had made hotel reservations when I got a e-mail telling me he had canceled. I could have cried. Fortunately I had not yet made my flight reservations but I do have to call and cancel the hotel. The only money I will probably lose is the registration fee which I have requested back explaining that once Alex canceled there was no reason for me to go there. I have no luck meeting that man, guess I will have to settle watching his movies and Moonlight which I have copies of all. Tomorrow night is Criminal Minds which of course I will tape and watch over and over again. It will be fantastic. He is really starting to climb that ladder to stardom and I KNOW he will win an academy award some year.

I know earlier I had sent an email to Tiffany to have a heads-up on this news but after reading Pat Barone's post I had to warn her to cancel her plans...

From another Alex site I subscribe to I received an email stating that Alex's trip to the UK in June has been cancelled because he will be in LA filming the "Back-Up Plan" movie with J-Lo...

I do hope, Pat Barone, that you can cancel and get your money back or have the airlines, at least give you a 'raincheck" to be used toward a flight to another place of your choice...

Hey, the weather is great in LA during June, a bit warm, but no rain for the most part... Sooo how about making that flight raincheck for a return trip to LA to see if you can catch a glimpse of him filming in LA?

I know I would if I could... Anyone want to come to AZ and petsit my 9 dogs and 3 horses?

I love Alex in whatever part/show/movie he is currently in or will in the future be in. He is a great actor becoming his character which is why he is so believable. He knows what he can play and I am sure looks for that type of role. The good Lord made him gorgeous in looks with that curly hair, beautiful eyes and long eye lashes, a smile that lights up a room, a body that doesn't quit and more importantly more acting ability in his little finger than anyone else out there. I would watch him read the telephone book if it meant listening to and seeing him. My dearest wish is to just meet him in person. I missed him in Los Angeles (he was in Mexico after cancellation of Moonlight). Then my daughter and I drove about 300 miles to try and catch him in Pittsburgh but that didn't work out at all as is was raining really hard and no one ventured outside. NOW I am going to London to see him in June. Can't really afford it but I am going anyways. I will love and support this terrific man until I die. There is only one Alex O'Loughlin. I hope and pray that I will be able to get his autograph on one of the Moonlight scripts that I have and also a picture taken with him.

Yes, I, too, want to support Alex and do... however I do feel that there will be some chance out there from someone with some brains in the entertainment field that will see the light and bring Moonlight into movie form...As an old timer I have seen resurrection come from ashes, so to speak... And once the image of Moonlight fans being silly cultists, as I thought when I watched a YouTube clip of a certain ML fansite at WB, is dissolved from memory perhaps the finer value of our Moonlight committment will surface...

We all know Nina was wrong, but she, being who she is, will never admit herself as being wrong...

As far as Twilight being a more powerful draw in the movies than a Moonlight movie...definitely wrong... I am an adult, like adult themes to what I watch... Twilight, though great, is definitely for the youth... Oh, since I read every book, I want to see how they dipict scenes, I envisioned, on the big screen... However, if a Moonlight movie came out tomorrow, especially with our familiar stars reprising their TV character roles, how many adults would flock to see it over a Twilight movie? I think a vast many of adults that helped to make up the numbered throngs who went to see the first movie... Now I find Robert Pattinson a very talented young man and in time he will go far, but compared to Alex, Robert is a puppy...Alex, I feel, would draw more to a movie starring him, especially a reprisal of his Mick, than Robert would as Edward... Edward's love scenes seemed teen awkward, which it was supposed to be, but if given the chance who would we all rather see kissing a feamle, Alex or Robert?

No matter I will not give up my hope and strongly feel that down the future we will be getting news of a Moonlight reprisal in movie form... Just look at how Star Trek cancelled in the 1st season, to make a comeback and survive through decades since the original series...

Now, Tiffany, you made the comment about CBS and BORING shows...agreed, all have outlasted what their life expectancy is worth... But each of these boring shows, in reference to the crime dramas, are far more violent and blood gory than any scene ever televised of Moonlight's... So saying that is one reason ML was taken off the air, CBS better check its moral values... None of these types of shows featuring autopsies, killings are what I care to watch weekly, I can see this kind of stuff on the nightly news every day...shows like that are what gives youth ideas and causes them to act upon such violent tendenacies not understanding that the consequences are real, not make believe as seen on TV...Persons these teens hurt, get Dead, or Hurt badly, even here in Tucson, the number of teen violence is getting out of hand...I see this as two causes, too much say by the law in how we can discipline our kids and secondly, too many violece on TV; heck, even some of the realoty shows that are competative in nature are actually violent...

I enjoy some fantasy in my TV watching, or a family story like Brother & Sisters, or a romantic comedy, but I find crime dramas nauseating... And CBS leads in the nausea...

Tish, I admit I could be totally wrong about CBS...that is just my opinion of the network. They seem to like BORING shows and rehashing the same old stuff. I have been dissapointed twice now in regards to a monsters/thriller/paramonral show being cancelled by them despite decent numbers and awards being won...Moonlight and Wolf Lake. I just don't put Beauty and the Beast in that category at all. I remeber the show...I was a kid but I used to watch it...it was very heavy on the romance and not so heavy on the scary stuff. And Twilight is not really comparable...it had a cult like following before it even shot its first scene.

Like most other Alex fans I suppose I would never close the door on Moonlight and keeping this site alive and talking about it here is a big step to helping TPTB realize we still love our show. But I am excited to have something else to focus on now and if Alex does get some recognition for The Backup Plan and DOES become the new IT guy in Hollywood he may have many other juicy roles to do.

It's not that we have given up on "Moonlight", it is just time to move on. All the letter writing, e-mailing, etc. was not enough to convince anyone to bring back "Moonlight" in any new format up to this point so why should we think that something will happen now? As far as condemming anyone - it seems that unless people agree with you, then they are the ones who are being shot down. Think people - - if we continue to hang on to something that is gone - "Moonlight" and continue to write letters that go unanswered, e-mails that get deleted, etc in support of the past, then all we are doing is hurting Alex because we refused to move on. The only thing that will get any attention is ratings. The ratings for "Moonlight" were not there, no matter how we tried to convince people that they were. We all dearly love "Moonlight" but if we have learned nothing here, unless TPTB want something to materialize, it's not going to happen, i.e. a "Moonlight" movie, especially now with the sequal to "Twilight" due to come out. We admire your conviction but please do not put those of us down who choose to move on and support Alex in something else.

Now this is a bummer...just got some news from another Alex site, who received it from someone on yet another Alex site, that none of us may want to hear...

President Obama is to give a speech next Wednesday, April 29th, at 8PM...Now I am not certain if this means it will pre-empt "The Big Wheel" episode of Criminal Minds with Alex or not...Nothing against the Pres, but coulsn't he put it on at 6PM in the evening instead of some news broadcast that will repeat itself later in the night anyway???

Yep, this is truely a bummer...

I am sitting here in total disbelief that any one of you would give up a chance to vie for a Moonlight movie, not as a comeback on TV...

We are getting a taste of Alex extrodinaire, which. as an actor, he will always be... I do support him, but do not comdemn my opinion nor the desire of others who have versed the hope of a Moonlight movie...

As far as my contract savvy, you really know nothing about me, so don't opinionate that I have not dealt in like in the business world...

We are friends here, at least I thought... I know I made some lasting friendships here of persons who were in the campaign, we still privately email & snailmail, also call each other via phone, as were we all...At least I hope we all were and not just looky-lou personna who only voiced themselves on sites but not to TPTB...

Perhaps Alex has movied on for now, but I feel strongly that if the door opened for Moonlight as a movie, I think he would not turn down the role he created so vividly beautiful... So I ask that you all not be so certain of his intentions. For now, with this economy, and to survive Tinseltown, until Alex can be in the running with the likes of such actors as, for example, Russell Crowe, Richard Gere, Brad Pitt, Sean Penn, George Clooney, he cannot just sit like whip cream on top of a sundae; he has to grasp at every available role he can to make a show of himself in all of his talents... One day, and pray that day will come without him affiliated with CBS, Alex will be nor only the whip cream, but also the sherry on a sundae and call the shots for whatever film he cares to be in... Right now, in the eyes of Tinseltown, he is a newcomer, so he is at the lower rungs of the proverbial ladder climbing... And Alex is not going to make a name for himself with TPTB in the world of the big screen in the company of B rated romantic comedies with such "bodies" as J-Lo... he is far more talented than for this kind of faire... I love romantic comedies, always have, but I feel this "BAck-Up Plan" will be either a box office short stay or go directly to DVD...even Gere could not help J-lo, but the chemistry he still has is unquestionable such as he portrayed in "Nights In Rodanthe" with Diane Lane as his co-star...can we deny his chemistry with Julia Roberts? It takes two and timing to make a romantic comedy sizzle, the only hot flashes that will be coming in Back-Up Plan will be from watching Alex...Alex has it all & I really would not like him devoured by Tinseltown due to projects that can destroy him...

And as for hopes and continued campaigning for a Moonlight movie, sorry this lady is not giving up... I would suggest all who agree to continue in the quest to seek that outcome... we are not led, this is a forum, this is a place to voice opinions... we still have our own minds...

For now, with this economy, and to survive Tinseltown, until Alex can be in the running with the likes of such actors as, for example, Russell Crowe, Richard Gere, Brad Pitt, Sean Penn, George Clooney, he cannot just sit like whip cream on top of a sundae; he has to grasp at every available role he can to make a show of himself in all of his talents… One day, and pray that day will come without him affiliated with CBS, Alex will be nor only the whip cream, but also the sherry on a sundae and call the shots for whatever film he cares to be in… Right now, in the eyes of Tinseltown, he is a newcomer, so he is at the lower rungs of the proverbial ladder climbing… And Alex is not going to make a name for himself with TPTB in the world of the big screen in the company of B rated romantic comedies with such “bodies” as J-Lo… he is far more talented than for this kind of faire… I love romantic comedies, always have, but I feel this “BAck-Up Plan” will be either a box office short stay or go directly to DVD…even Gere could not help J-lo, but the chemistry he still has is unquestionable such as he portrayed in “Nights In Rodanthe” with Diane Lane as his co-star…can we deny his chemistry with Julia Roberts? It takes two and timing to make a romantic comedy sizzle, the only hot flashes that will be coming in Back-Up Plan will be from watching Alex…Alex has it all & I really would not like him devoured by Tinseltown due to projects that can destroy him…

And as for hopes and continued campaigning for a Moonlight movie, sorry this lady is not giving up… I would suggest all who agree to continue in the quest to seek that outcome… we are not led, this is a forum, this is a place to voice opinions… we still have our own minds…
