A New Alex Interview

Alex was recently interviewed by Melody of Hollywood the Write Way. Make sure to go and read the interview! Here is what Alex had to say about is super secret upcoming show for CBS:

Moonlight came to an end, which was very sad and then I just went away for a couple of weeks to Mexico. When I came home, there were a few offers from different studios and networks. The deal that sat the best for me was what CBS was offering. They were open to negotiation points that I wanted to bring in, which was great and I discussed where I would like to go with my career. Since then, I have been developing an original series with executive producer and head writer on Criminal Minds, Simon Mirren that we have been putting together under Mark Gordon. It is an original concept that we are in the middle of pitching at the moment. It will be a one hour drama that I will be producing and starring in. It is a story of redemption but from a very different point of view.

Can’t wait to hear more!

  1. And as I said on the “Moonlight in January” thread…we are all bogged down now with all the preparations for the holidays, so right after get working on the Snail Mails to the above a ddresses as well as to other networks like ABC or NBC,which is more likely to bring Moonlight back and to be presented in more homes worldwide…

Don’t let us get too far into the new year without beginning our fight to prove we want and still love Moonlight and are not a bunch of Actor-centric fans as depicted by that baffoon in charge of CBS Entertainment which since Moonlight’s cancellation is nothing but rubbish…

  2. Now as I was saying…”CAN WE LET NINA GET AWAY RUINING ALEX’S CAREER? CAN WE ALLOW HER TO THINK SHE WAS RIGHT AND WE ARE ACTOR-CENTRIC, AS SHE WANTS HER BOSSES TO BELIEVE? wHILE TWILIGHT IS HOT AND VAMPIRISM IS THE CURRENT FAV, AS IT HAS BEEN ON & OFF SINCE THE BEGINNING OF CINEMA IT IS TIME TO SINK OUR TEETH INTO THIS AGAIN!!!!(NO PUN INTENDED BUT IT IS APPROPO)

  3. I touched something on my keyboard and it loaded what I was writing to all of you in the site and so now I continue…

After this Michael Jordan gets a first clue from us what happened, how we were defiantly ignored & insulted by the heads at CBS, he may get a different pix of what really came down than what he was probably told…So let us all let some sun shine into Mr Jordan’s world soon…. The quicker we get this done, then we can send our next letters to Queen B…h in CA and King Dufus in NYC…By this time, especially if Mr Jordan gets bombarded with our letters, he will take notice and Nina can’t bluff her way out of her sin against fans, a great show and wonderfully talented actors all…

Now I adore Alwx, but why is he the only one of the cast to get this 1 year CBS contract when all the cast were superb in their acting and bringing to life their characters so vividly that they have been immortalized in our minds forever??? Do not get me wtong here. Alex deserves another shot as a lead in a TV show, yet there is far to long an intervale since the contract was signed for something not to be close to being announced or privy to us already… And again I say it is Nina’s way of keeping Alex out of the limelight and away from his accumulated fans since Moonlight…Her sick mind is probably saying, “Ah, let’s give them a bone to cling to but by the time the contract is up Alex will be old news and some other actor will be taking his place in the hearts of his fickle fans”….

  4. Thank you Linda… and many thanks for backing me on this… We need to spread the word to other sites as well, so start posting and then start snail mailing asap… We all know it is the Xmas rush for cards and packages but this is not the dark ages our certified and registered letters will reach their intended destinations…

DEFINITELY OF THE UTMOST IMPORTANCE IS TO WRITE TO THAT HEAD HONCHO WITH WESTINGHOUSE PRONTO

  5. Hi Everyone – just wanted to share a find with all of you. I just got the newest edition of TV Guide for the week of 12/8-12/14 as many of you may have. In the “Inbox” section is a part of a letter commenting on the stupidity of CBS for cancelling “Moonlight”. It seems that we are not alone in our disgust for this network. Let’s get the letter writing campaing going again. Thanks to Pat for getting the address that we need to get our messages out there. Have a great day everyone.

  6. PS: make sure you all refer to the successful entry of Twilight into our worlds…and that the world is definitely vampire-centric, but not gorey vamp stories, not actor-centric…

Also, PLEASE NOTE that there is some info about a future Alex appearance on the “Alex in the Volturi” thread here at AOLO…

  7. TO ALL AND FOR ALL THREADS VIEWERS TO READ….

As promised the persons who are The Powers That Be and to whom we should write via CERTIFIED with return receipt but best as REGISTERED with return receipt letters, which get noticed as e-mails DO NOT, as those can easily be deleted and ignored…

    1) Michael Jordan,
Westinghouse Electric Corporation Chairman & Chief
    Executive Officer
    11 Stanwix Street
    P.O Box 8839
    Pittsburg, PA,
    15221

As I informed you previously, Westinghouse owns the major shares in CBS and own CBS Corporation… I, myself, have learned over many years to go over so-called superficial heads and go straight to the top for what you want and this usually gets it…I would be certain to refer to Nina Tassler as being unfit to run CBS Entertainment in CA, the same holds true for Les Moonves in NYC because both ignored what vast numbers of their viewing public wanted…

But also again write to these a-wipes as a matter of protecting ourselves as fans and it cannot be said we did not contact them again…

As per any snail mail documents save yourself copies of all letter sent…

    Les Moonves,
    CBS President & CEO Entertainment
    51 West 52nd Street
    New York City, N.Y., 10019-6119

    And the old witch, herself:

    Nina Tassler,
    President of CBS Entertainment
    4024 Radford Avenue
    Studio City, CA., 91604

I would keep writing until they respond favorably… I would also make sure that Westinghouse, itself, knows how fans were referred to and treated, plus that CBS stocks plummeted & that it had nothing to do with the economy as they began dropping deeply after cancellation of Moonlight…And that no CBS TV show is worth watching and most of us have boycotted CBS since…

  8. Linda & Everyone here that comes to AOLO,

I have never read a better feedback comment…The first few words sent me into hysterical laughter and said to myself, “You go get ’em girl”… Perfect, couldn’t have stated it better myself…but may I suggest that ML fans, who , of course, all love Alex as well, but not be forgotten Sophia and all, that feedback is a beginning, but can easily be earsed and Nina would just delete…

We all need to begin the ML campaign over again but with no teenage antics as seen before from the administration of another campaign site…

To get any corporation’s attention we must send them letters that we send certified with return receipt so we know it was received by so & so…Better yet, if we can afford, send Registered Mail with return receipt… But definitely send certified, if nothing else… Otherwise, the mail goes into a large sorting bin and them what looks like mail they do not want to deal with they will just trash… For anyone to trash a certified mailing, & definitely a Registered letter, is tampering with the mail which is a Federal Felony… You don’t hear back from mailing such a letter say in 2 weeks max, then you report to the PO… And such a distinguihed jetter does not get ignored as Xmas rush mail, I guarantee…

When mailing such letters I would send the main letter to Nina Tassler in Studio City, CA CBS Hdqters & then a copy of same letter to Les Monves in NYC CBS Hdqtrs; I would laso make another copy of same letter sent to Nina & Les to send to the largest share holder of CBS Corporation; that is Westinghouse…ALL MUST BE SENT CERTIFIED OR REGISTERED AS PER INFO ABOVE… Do not forget to keep a copy for yourselves

Somewhere on our threads here at AOLO are the addresses of les & Nina; if not I will research again as I will do same for Corporate Headquarters for Westinghouse… I will get back to all asap, but Tiffany if you can repost this message to all links as weel as including the addresses needed for letters to be sent, would so appreciate…Thanks…

Thank you, too, Linda, I do hope this will be a pinch on us all to get this ball rolling again…

Your friend here at AOLO, who loves Twilight, Moonlight & Alex et al equally, Tish

  9. Hi Everyone – Hope all of you had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday. As I was reading the latest comments, I felt the need to send CBS another e-mail regarding the cancellation of “Moonlight” Since a lot of you seem to share the same opinion on this, I thought you might like to read what I wrote and maybe give you the idea to also write to the CBS Feedback comment line and make your own statement. Please forgive me if it rambles but here goes – “This is a note to Nina Tassler and her flock of morons. You screwed up by cancelling “Moonlight” even though no one will ever admit it. Do you need to be reminded about the success of a “vampire genre” book/movie that is now breaking box office records? The vampire genre is and always has been successful. “Moonlight” had a loyal fan base but for reasons only know to Nina, it got cancelled. As one of the millions of viewers of “Moonlight”, my disgust with CBS grows stronger each time I see or hear about the success of the movie “Twilight” because if “Moonlight” had been given a fair chance to succeed, the ratings would now be going through the roof. Gee, what success is CBS having on Friday nights these days? The ratings for Friday night have not improved since the cancellation of “Moonlight” and the idiotic show that took over the “Moonlight” time slot, “The Ex-List is already heading for cancellation if it has not been cancelled already. Also, where is the “development project” that Alex O’Loughlin was given when he signed a new contract with CBS? Is there an acutal project for this talented actor or is this just another one on Nina’s whims that, with a snap of her crooked finger, can be ended before it ever begins. I guess in Nina’s kingdom, nothing is a sure thing unless SHE makes it so. Talk about abuse of power? She has perfected it.”
That’s the entire e-mail. Maybe if we all once again started bombarding CBS and possibly Mark Gordon, something positive might happen. It’s worth a shot, isn’t it?

  10. Tiffany,

Can you let us know what the secret scene in Twilight was about and post a link to it for us, if there is one????

Thanks, I know this is an Alex site, but all of us remain Alex fans, but sure the fine man he is, would not upset over some scene that can help us connect a bit to his/our beloved Moonlight…Maybe even instilling us to begin our campaign again for Moonlight with him and all in the show again…

  11. PS: I must add this to the last paragraph. too..

We must get someone’s attention to rebirth Moonlight, using not only the same cast but also the same writers, directors & producers because a clip I saw of Alex recently with an actor named Nathin Butler filmed in October, 2008 in the Hollywood Hills, CA, lacks luster and does not do our Alex justice…He seemed to be more or less in a bit part and he deserves better… Furthermore, this may just be a sneak preview of the new project that was bootlegged for Alex fans to see… Alex still shines in his expressive face, but this other guy was hogging the whole scene and was not that good of an actor to boot… If this is what CBS is projecting to be Alex’s new series than I feel CBS is setting Alex up for failure as I have said Nina was doing all along… The woman needs to get a life and stay out of Alex’s & his fans lives for if she stays all of us will suffer; most of all Alex and his career greatly…

  12. Beautifully written and explained, Tiffany… Thank you…

With this definite results of Twilight being a blockbuster, not to mention record sales of the 4 book, so far, series, is there any hope that we, Alex’s & Moonlight’s fans, can get a bug in some TV big wig’s ear to revive the Mick/Beth series??? Mostly should be explained that many adult fans of ML were the people who bought all the Twilight books because we hungered for the mortal/vampire love stories of our Moonlight & in doing so we found ourselves loving the Meyer storyline & all of her Twilight characters…

I, myself, feel that this is the right time to again wage a campaign to resurrect Moonlight with it’s original cast of actors in their roles… Yes, Alex is supposedly working on a new project…Yes, we all know such things do take time, but almost 5 months??? In December is how long the time that has passed and the CBS/Alex contract is only for 1 year… At any rate, many actors work in 2 TV series at a time plus make movies, as well…

Hope was not the only one who saw Mr Foe with Sophia and said that the movie was not one to rush to see; I cannot say I have but know those who have… I still truly believe that Sophia & Alex make the right chemistry together in acting… she and he seem to sparkle in each other’s presence; now it may just be Hollywood magic, but I, being a mature lady who has been and seen a lifetime of chemistry between the right people & the srong negative ingredients between others, feel the Alex/Sophia connection is a gold-mine for the right project, even if not our beloved Moonlight…I do not feel that any other actor can compliment the talents of Sophia as Alex does and visa versa… I have the movie, Tristan & Isolde starring Sophia & James Franco, but no ill of Mr Franco, but he was not right for the part of Tristan…Alex would definitely have brought the attention to the role & film it deserved much better…

I am hoping we can still instill a lightning bolt through some TV exec’s brain so the light goes on that now is the time to give Moonlighters what they want; New Seasons of Moonlight with Alex, Sophia, Jason, etc…

  13. Pat & Hope,

I think Moonlight would be breaking records right now if it were still on. Twilight would only have helped the cause as fans of the series opted to check out the “adult” version of Twilight. I have read the entire Twilight series and seen the movie 4 times now. It makes me miss Moonlight all the more. True Blood would help ratings too as it would all be part of a vampire feeding frenzy…no pun intended. 😉 Vampires are the new hot thing…CBS was out of their minds to cancel the show. Can you imagine how many viewers they could have gained if they had agreed to offer maybe 20 seconds of free air time on Moonlight episodes to show scenes from Twlight…heck I watched the MTV video awards (first time ever watched) just to check out a secret Twilight scene. They really could have used this new vampire craze to catapult Moonlight. Sadly I think they have people working there that are not in tune with what viewers want. Even the movie Twilight was a given a low budget cause producers didn’t think it would do so hot. Can you imagine???? It made over 70 million in its first week! And the sequal, New Moon, has already been announced for 2010.

Any production company doing a vampire project needs to tap into what their viewers want. If they had they would have seen that the True Blood/Twilight frenzy could have EASILY meant more viewers for Moonlight…especially since many people don’t have the money to see a movie 4 times or have cable. This could have been a big opportunity for them and they blew it big time.

  14. Hi Hope & Everyone,

I must disagree with your presumption, Hope, pertaining to Nina Tassler cancelling Moonlight because she thought other vampire genre films would be too much competition… On the contrary, Moonlight would have survived it all… Moonlight was cancelled long before “True Blood” aired &, though I, myself, had not seem “T B”, I heard it was really horrible…

As far as “Twilight” is concerned, Moonlight is, in a distant way, an adult version of the mortal/vampire love story…They both would be complimenting each other now…

I am so pleased that “Twilight” is doing so well in the movie box offices, in 1 weekend totaled 70 Million Dollars… Does anyone realize that most of the readers of the Twilight series of novels by Stephanie Myer were/are adults and not teens? Lacking our Moonlight weekly we were drawn to the next best link & were introduced to said series right here on AOLO through a thread intoduced by our own administrator, Tiffany…

  15. Hi Moonlight Lovers, I hope you had a great Thanksgiving, I know we have a lot to be thankful for. I rented Mister Foe but was very disappointed in Sophia Myles’s part. Alex has not given us any new information on what going on with him, I wish he would. I can’t wait til January to buy DVD and see the 2 shows I missed. I don’t watch CBS anymore so if there is any advertising of his new show, please let me know.I agree that Nina Tassler made a big mistake when she cancelled our Moonlight, but I think she thought with not only the movie “Twilight” coming on 11-21-08 but the HBO show True Blood would hurt our Moonlight. I don’t have HBO but I heard True Blood was nothing like our Moonlight. Moonlight was caring, warm and loving and I miss it so much. See Ya signed hopeful

  16. Hi Linda,Everyone,

Very well put in a very gracious way…you embodied all of our sentiments & wishes…

Hope you & yours having a wonderful Thanksgiving…As I am wishing for all….

I am thankful for being alive another year..grateful that the prospects of our country’s economical situation has a new chance of rising itself with new beginnings heading the US… Any situation has to be better than what the last brought us to…

Most of all I am thankful for the reward of friends in my life including the many I have been graced with since the campaign for Moonlight… Some of us now are in daily contact with each other; so the love of our show & Alex brought us in contact with people of similar likes & keeps us blessed continually in friendship…

Now I must get going to pursue just that, friendships & great food on this wonderful day…

  17. Hi Everyone – I don’t know about all of you, but the more I see or hear anything on the new movie “Twilight”, I just get more disgusted with CBS and how they just blew “Moonlight” off. Though none of TPTB, Nina Tassler in particular, will ever admit that they screwed up by cancelling “Moonlight”, they did and we, the fans, know it. The vampire genre is bigger now than ever before and if “Moonlight” were still on, the ratings would be going through the roof. Instead of eating turkey for Thanksgiving this year, maybe Nina and the other idiots at CBS had a huge helping of crow and humble pie for dessert.

  18. Hi Carolyn and all you Moonlight Lovers, I agree with you concerning Alex and still miss the “Moonlight show. Every friday I think where is my Moonlight and I look at my tapes I think I know the show word for word. I’m surprised that we never here anything on Alex on TV or any other movie he might be in. I rented Mister Foe today and will watch it tonight staring Sophia Myles. I read that the DVD on Moonlight was on widescreen, does that mean the scene will be small? I don’t have a flat screen TV yet, my TVs are not too old maybe 1 to 2 years old but not flat screen. I look at You Tube to see Alex in some interview and really enjoy it, if you have not try it. See Ya! signed hopeful

  19. Alex, you are a sweet angel. I think you are one of the most versatile actors I have ever seen. I have really enjoyed everything you have been in. I have seen all your movies so far and even in Feed, I can’t hate michael. In fact you make the character one to feel sorry for. I am amazed at your delivery of each character you portray. From what I have read you haven’t been at it that long, but you seem to me like a seasoned vet when it comes to acting. I have never seen you over act you just are a natural. I am anxiously awaiting your next project and I am excited about Whiteout. Sorry about all the spelling and punctuation errors here, I am a nurse and we don’t write in complete sentences so forgive me. No, I just wanted to tell you that you are appreciated and yes loved. I think you and Holly look fantastic together and you both have such good hearts, as a nurse I tend to notice things like that. I mean yes of course you are gorgeous, you know that, but that isn’t really why I like you, I like you for you, your great spirit, how you give each job it your all, how you take time out for others. And I can tell that you and I hope you will, be a great parent someday. You should have kids because you have the kind, patient, and loving personality for it. WEll, I think I have rambled enough. You take care and good luck in all that you do. God Bless, carolyn

  20. Hi Hope,

I so wish that I could watch ML on SCI-FI, but I do not have cable or satellite and cannot just order as i have other responsibilities in caring for my 3 horses and 6 dogs which mean the world to me…Their food and care is expensive, not that my love of ML is any less… I will have the DVD & I am certain that sales will skyrocket and this, hopefully, will also count as making CBS aware that cancelling ML was a mistake they will pay for for a very long time…

It would be a miracle if Moonlight was resurrected, but miracles have been known to happen…And I believe in miracles…

We all know the old saying of
“Be careful of what you wish for because it might come true”…
So let’s all begin wishing for new seasons of Moonlight to happen and perhaps our thoughts and wishes may surface into reality….

  21. Hi Guys, I’m so glad Moonlight was finally picked up for reruns, but to me it should be showing NOW not when the DVD comes out three days prior to being back on tv. CBS HAS MADE IT CLEAR THEY DON’T WANT THE OLD FANS OR NEW FANS TO WATCH THE MOONLIGHT SHOW ON TV WHEN THEY CAN PURCHASE THE DVD AND NOT SEE COMMERCIALS. I WILL WATCH THE RERUNS BECAUSE I’M A mOONLIGHTlOVER AND WOULD LIKE TO HELP THE RATINGS. HOW DO YOU FEEL? signed hopeful

  22. Hi Guys, I really enjoy reading all the comments and also feel everyone is entitled to their idea about what happened to my Moonlight’s cancellation, I think is was more than bad ratings because it looks like Alex is being black balled like I said before. The DVD not coming out until next year and the Movie White Out was to come out Sept, 2008,
what happened. I still want to see White Out even though I think he is not playing the same type of part, the sweet caring person we all loved about Moonlight. To change the subject I am listening to a Josh Groban CD called”Never let go”(with deep forest). It is a CD you can clean house with or just sit and listen I don’t know why but when I hear it I think of Alex and also remember the show. If you don’t have this CD and like beautiful singing and music you will love it. I think Alex said once on an interview he liked all music. I was thinking of sending this to him. See Ya signed hopeful

  23. Thank you bauline & Linda for your gracious comments…Apparently we are all of similar mind…

As for the insulence of some posting, it is a just par for the course…And it has been a long hard course for us all who truly love Moonlight, the entire body of characters performed excellently by actors we came to admire as time passed…thus our following of Alex, for the majority of us fans… And it is for this reason I contunue to post here for many of us have, over the course of the long ML campaign, become personal friends… We always stated honestly & truthfully here & it is policy here to be a family of online friends…
It is a shame that such cannot be honored by those who choose to create bad blood between us…And rightfully so, they should seek other sites that do allow one to condemn beliefs, such was one I walked away from for all there were looked to the administrator as a god, would not speak of their own mind and all who posted with new ideas were shot down by the clique…We do not do that here and Tiffany would not condone…However, I feel a need to weed those persons out b/c I believe in one of the Amendments of our U.S. Constitution, “Freedom of Speech”, but I also believe in respect of those who are wiser( the ones who have been there, done that, lived to tell about it) and your elders…

I also feel that if I was not working and an offer came through to put food on the table & pay the bills, I would take a chance at the position for the time being… And if I had youth on my side, such opportunities are worth the risks…

We all love Alex, we do not know if he reads all of the sites under his name, but I do feel he is, in my opinion, not one to be blind to our continued feelings about ML, himself, and our fears for him in the rude world of tinseltown and its phoney occupants , of which he, from my understanding, is not like…

  24. Hello All – Just reading the interesting comments posted recently, It sounds like most of us have the same feeling about this “new project” for Alex – the thought that it will never materialize. As long as Nina Tassler is in charge of entertainment at CBS, we will probably be sitting and spinning our wheels trying to get through to her. As fans of Moonlight, we have begged and pleaded with her, respectfully and disrespectfully and despite what Hobe V has to say, I feel that ML fans have been more respectful to her than she has been to all of us. She tossed over 8 million viewers to the wolves and did not think twice about doing so. As a television executive, wouldn’t you think that 8 million people tuning in every week to watch your network would be significant? Apparently, Nina thought otherwise. That was 8 million viewers who could have changed the channel to watch something else or turned off the TV altogether. So as far as being disrespectful to Nina with our negative comments, these are OUR opinions, right or wrong, they are just opinions. The vinegar/honey idea might work if someone at CBS would also show ML and Alex fans respect and not be so quick to brush us off again. People in high places tend to look down on the little people as if we do not matter. Well they need to remember, the same people that got stepped on while they were climbing the ladder to the top will be the same people they will meet when start to slip downward. One thing is for sure, WE all want what is best for Alex and whatever he ends up doing and whenever it finally does become a reality, his fan base will be right there. Until then, we still need to go to the CBS Feedback board and show our support for Alex and this “new project” that we are all waiting for. Nothing fancy, just a few words, a few good words about Alex. And if it will make Hobe V happy, leave out the negative comments about Nina Tassler. Alex is our foucs here, not Nina. Take care all – – – 🙂

  25. I was just reading the postings about the show with regard to Nina and getting Moonlight back. This is just my opinion and not here to judge what anyone else is doing but to give my outlook on this situation. I am also a ML Fan since the beginning and am a member on other sites. I also attended a few of the Moonlight conventions. Personally, I have moved on from any compaigning for Moonlight for many reasons. Too busy with my family and don’t believe that the show will be back period-even if people are compaigning. Again, my opinion only. The actors have moved on and to all honesty what motivation would there be for these guys to come back. They have moved on and are doing other projects. It is sad and I at one point thought it might happen but I don’t think so. Now the Nina part-to blame Nina – we where all there at one point-mad and upset with her. Nina cancelled the show but I don’t believe it was her decision only. To be this mad at a person that we don’t know and for this long-not sure what to say about that. We had fans banning CBS-well, I still watch CBS because I like some shows.

What this boils down to-if we decide to compaign – go for it but do it with respect. Sending emails, letters and hounding certain exec makes us look like we are nuts. Respect the people that don’t want to compaign and vise versa.

In saying all this, I am a true Moonlight fan. I am very active on other Moonlight sites. Went to the LA convention-was at the WB rally in the rain, and just got back from the Chicago Gala. I met Jason, Jordan and Brian. Both Jason and Jordan pretty much said Moonlight is not coming back.

  26. You know, Patricia, if you go back on this thread to your November 2nd entry, you stated there: “Hey, I know there are other readers out there on AOLO so let’s hear from you as well…” But you should have added a Warning: “Enter at your own risk…Only opinions the same as mine will be tolerated.”

Statements like: “as many of us who have been on this site a long time are well aware of…”, “I really hate to burst your bubble”, “my dear”,”Get real”, “I have explained to all enough; sorry if you do not understand what I presented”, “And I am not going to explain further to you, HobeV, for I do not feel obligated to give you a reason for my beliefs…”, “Get the picture?” do NOT encourage new folks to participate.

Hey, I thought this was a discussion board. You invited new people to come in, but once in, I feel like I got ambushed!

If you truly want new participants, be aware of the condescending tone. At least RESPECT other’s opinions even if they are not your own. I tried to write with repect from the start, saying I was a 1st timer on this board & using words like “hope I didn’t hurt anyone’s feelings” & “IMHO” I was not challenging anyone. I truly wanted to know more & had just discovered this site.

I am not a wet-behind-the-ears ML lover. I spent a lot of time on a now defunct website with very knowlegable fans. I’ve been searching for a new place to discuss not so much ML but more about Alex, his new projects, career, etc. I thought I’d found it here, but…yikes!

I am not the enemy. I’m not a big fan of Nina’s either, but Alex has chosen to work with her. CBS has put their top writer from “Chriminal Minds” on board to work with Alex. They are paying his salary for a full year basically on speck & given him all kinds of extra perks.Several news reports said Alex got one of the best contracts ever for a fledging young actor. This signals to me that CBS is serious. There are more people involved than just Nina. She answers to a boss, too…Nancy Tellem. Alex comes across as a very intelligent man, & he has both an agent & a personal manager to help guide & advise him. I have faith he & his advisors know what they are doing. Alex has asked for his fans support, & I’ll support him always.

The only thing I object to are the accusations about Nina. This does NOT mean I support her, or I’m president of the Nina Fan Club (smile). But these have no basis in any facts & are, frankly, irresponcible, if not slanderous. My old ML website’s moderators would NEVER have allowed such statements to get on the board, & they tightly moderated any disrespect to others, too. I would hate to have Alex run across these. I’ll never forget an interview where he said he “had to be careful what he read. Sometimes it can be very hurtful.” Then he put his hand over his chest & said, “Ouch!”.

It just seems to me hatred of Nina is running off potential new participants at AOLO & might (I say “might” as a respectful word) be coloring some of the reasoning. The main thing is to be open-minded & treat each other with RESPECT. Guess I’ll keep looking…

  27. PS: Excuse typos, but I am sure you can get the point of meaning I was presenting…

And to naswer your question in a nutshell:

Nina cares only about what is good for Nina, no one else… This is the World of Tinseltown; superficial and transparent as a glass… also like glass, live is fragile there and many lives are shattered in this world…

What a;ways comes to my mind when I think of Hollywood is the phony kisses…you know when someone goes to kiss you on the cheek but only kisses the air…Get the picture???

  28. HobeV,

I have explained plainly to all enough; sorry if you do not understand what I presented…

The fact is that Nina knows she messed up royallly &, am thinking, those even higher than herself told her to right this or lose her position…

As we all know it is a long hard struggle to make a great career unless, as Linda state, we wonder who Nina slept with to get to where she is…She certainly is not the smartest cabbage in the patch…If she were we would still have Moonlight that would have kept CBS on top…

At the time of ML’s demise, and is still ongoing, CBS stocks were falling, so this was, perhaps a decision also to cut back spending to make quality shows and give us reality garbage and future, cheap budget, flops…After Ml’s demise, CBS stocks really began sliding into the dumps…

Nina, or whomever in the higher ups, surmised that the fans idolized Alex, thus the actor-centric phrase… It was not Alex, alone, that kept viewers fixated on ML; it was the well written episodes and the way it was presented to us via the actors’s characterisations of the roles they played… Nina’s illogical comment about our being fixed on the actors shows how truly un-intelligent she is…actors sell a show through their portrayals of a story & ML’s cast did a superior job… For crying out loud, it won the People’s Choce Award for Best New Drama(more on that later)… The majority of viewers of ML were hardly aware of any of the ML cast, with the excetion of Jason Dohring who had brrn in Veronica Mars, also a cancelled show, prior to the show’s debute… And more than the actors themselves, fans loved each character…As time went on, the actors became more familiar to their audiences…So there was nothing actor-cetric about our mutual love of the show and its characters… we were just blessed with fine young thespian newcomers to our eyes…

So with the hair-brained thinking of Nina, she had a contract drawn up to approach & entice a relatively new actor to these shores who was out of work & who had acrued a number of fans from his Mick St John character…Nina’s devious mind thought that if she could make it an offer the young actor could not refuse (options to write script & co-produce— we all have learned Alex co-produce his film, in AU, called “Feed”, so tis is a favored position for Alex who has formal theatrical training, not just some “discovered” talent in a sweet shoppe—) to take them up on she could keep CBS in the limelight favorably and fans anticipating another show with ALex that has yet to evolve…

Yes, nothing happens overnight, but this contract went into motion in July, 2008 and we were given the news in August…that is 4 months ago… I feel that is a very long time by tinseltown standards for entertainment… And, even if there is a project going on, what makes you think it will make to the TV screen… I think Nina will shoot the pilot, she views down, but with anapology to Alex’s public that it just was not the best work…. More than likely is because she has not intention of giving us another show of quality and class as it is too expensive to produce….

As promised, more on the People’s Choice Award that ML won…. CBS is the sponsor network for the PCA Awards… I vote at PCA’s Buzz Poll weekly… I will tell you frankly that CBS took away the Best New Drama glory and ML not even listed as a former winner of the award… Furthermore, a month or 2 prior to the Emmy Awards, ML, Alex, Sophia were all listed as choices in Emmy nominations on the Buzz Poll questions…Alex was winning in percentage…then all of a drastic second, no more questions or mention of any NL casts or show nominations for Emmy… Again the devious work of Nina…The woman is a witch & I hope she eventually falls in her own cauldron…

As I stated in an earlier posts, Nina is angry with ML fans for they were not kind to her, but it should be the other way around…She is not the important figure her; it is the fans she should be pleasing, her little contract is just a way of getting fans on her side, but I will be shocked if anything comes of it…I also feel Nina may have tried to lure one of the cast of ML to the proverbial casting couch and was rejected by her prey…not saying it to be Alex, but why could it not be possible…

Nothing is sacred in the land of tinsel, certainly not relationships… And for the actors that want to have their relationships lasts, there is always someone who wants to put a cabash on it…

I do hope I answered so that you can now understand… I am not the only fan who has these similar thoughts on this subject… And I am not going to further explain to you HobeV, for I do not feel I am obligated to give you a reason for my beliefs…

  29. Patricia-I am fascinated by your opinions here. Could you explain again WHAT you think Nina’s motivations are, & WHY she would spend all that money & offer perks to Alex? Is it all just a big retaliation plot on her part, & she doesn’t care at all about Alex?

  30. Freeman or Freedman, makes no difference as the mailman in the locale of that office has been kept pretty darn busy for months and months with letter addressed to Alex… Dayna at Alex’s Personal Manager’s office does not open any mail pertaining to Alex, addressed to Alex, as it is against the law to do so and all letters for Alex goes directly to Alex as so many of us who have been at this site for a long time are well aware of…

I read about this Chris Hart, as well, long ago, but have not heard him referred to by TPTB as truly the one to contact in regard to any bookings or projects for Alex…Do believe what I read over at Ozlighter to be most recent booking agent contact for Alex…

A well written petition (& not ones posted online as they really do not hold water as being legaland accepted)pertaining to the situation concerning Alex’s project and asking that the project be condsidered in an affirmative manner by mid-season selections for finalists of new TV shows and addressed to all heads of CBS, not just Nina…

HobeV, I really hate to burst your bubble of belief about Nina Tassler being on our side and wanting to work with ALex… Hollywood politics, my dear, and the tarnish of phoney tinsletown… They can state anything, but what is going on behind the scenes is definitely another matter totally…

All of us here want only the best for Alex, myself included… But gut feelings are gnawing at me as Nina has a track record of selling fans and stars down the way… She is making dreadful mistakes, but as my late father-in-law used to say (he was a politician); “It is not what you know but who you know”…

We all know Alex is one heck of an actor and his career can zoom far beyond the little screen, and it was in his native AU., so something is not as it should be… If relatively unknowns are capable of making it on the big screen, here in America, in the movie Twilight and are becoming Idols of the younger set, as James Dean did so many decades ago, there should not be the problem of the already proven icon named Alex O’Loughlin coming back into our homes weekly in a series made to order for him…He did it with Moonlight when he was barely known here in this country and this again proves he is a quality actor as well as the fact that Moonlight’s magnatism came from its storylines which were acted upon to be believably great entertainment…

Get real, Nina has many times over, since the campaign to bring back Moonlight began in one way or another, insulted the show’s fanbase & trying to make us out to be some cult of no intelligence… We own her nothing in the line of respect… We hope Alex’s booking agency, the real contact behind the man, will be made aware that they are just toying with him and pull him out of this contract so he can seek to bring his project to a more worthy network like ABC or NBC, preferably the former whose show’s seem to last in view for a long time…

I have personally been told by Dayna of Andrew Freedman’s office that Alex is genuinely as humble, sweet, and likable as he gives off in his public personna… As an older woman with sons older than Alex is, I want nothing more than to protect Alex from the likes of a conniving she-devil… And I do not wish to see Alex’s career further put on hold by the likes of this contract…

Yet he still believes in this project,as given in a personal message as posted for him by his AU booking agency on the Ozlighter Alex fansite originating from AU…

  31. Just wanted to add…I googled Alex’s Personal Manager & it is Andrew J. Freedman (NOT Freeman)…so there is a “d” in the last name. The rest of the address is correct as given.

  32. Hi ML/Alex Lovers: This is my 1st time discovering this board,& I’m so glad to see comments here expressing my own frustrations at the little info & LONG wait to see Alex again, & WHAT is going on with this “new” project he & writer/producer Simon Mirren are pitching?!
I have written polite letters to Nina & Les Moonves asking them to approve Alex/Simon’s new series idea for a pilot, what a fantastic actor he is, & how there’s a huge fan base waiting to see him again, etc. I’ve also expressed some of what I’m hoping to see in a series for Alex including a character with many layers, romanatic tension, & emotional connection (sadly lacking on TV today). I’ve also written Simon Mirren.
After reading opinions here I now want to write Alex’s Personal Manager…but I have 2 different last name spellings: Freeman & Freedman? Anyone know which is correct? I could try Wickipedia. Also I have Alex’s AGENT as:
    Chris Hart
    International Creative Management
    10250 Constellation Blvd.,7th Floor
    Los Angeles, CA 90067
I’ve written him before fairly recently…has this changed? One last thing, in respect for Alex, he is working with Nina & has mentioned her in several interviews positively. I feel we need to guard against jumping to conclusions with no proof. Much as we don’t like the cancellation, etc. Nina could be an ally now. I know she has stated wanting to work with Alex in the past. Have you noticed the Aussie connection at CBS?…Simon Baker, Poppy Montgomery & the male lead in “Without A Trace”? Also I can’t believe CBS would pay out all that money & perks to Alex for a YEAR just for revenge agst ML fans. Let’s write or email our support of Alex’s new project & hopefully get more with honey than vinegar. He has asked for our suport. Fingers crossed as Alex says. Hope I didn’t hurt any feelings. It’s just MHO.

  33. Hi Everyone – We should all write to Mr. Freeman since he is still Alex’s Personal Manager and let him know that Alex’s fans have been patiently waiting for some official word regarding the “new project” for Alex and that we are concerned about the delay and about Alex and his future. Yes, the delay could possibly be because of the switch in the agency now representing Alex but I seriously doubt it. We all know the reason for the delay – Nina Tassler. Since Mr. Freeman is still the one constant here, he would definitely have first hand knowledge and diret contact with Alex so we should focus attention to him. If nothing else, Alex would know that his fan base is still out there. Let’s put the “squeaky wheel” theroy back in play. We should go the the CBS “Feedback” board and once again start leaving our messages regarding Alex and this “new project” and let them know that we are still here and still have no respect for Nina Tassler. She is still the “brains” behind programming at CBS so we should let them know that it’s time for a lobotomy. It looks like her track record for success is slipping. Several of her “new hit shows”, like “Swingtown”, and the joke of a replacement for Moonlight, “The Ex-list” have already been cancelled or are on the way out. I apologize for the rambling but it boggles the mind as to why Nina Tassler is still so powerful at CBS. Anyway, let’s continue letting Alex and Mr. Freeman know that we are here. Write to Mr. Freeman to show our support for Alex. Take care all.

  34. Typo, it is not broozing ego, it is bruising ego…

We all know that Alex’s personal manager here is Andrew Freeman at 20 Ironsides St,Ste.18, Marina Del Rey, CA,

And previously that Alex’s booking agent’s was the June Caan Agency in AU, but recently the sone of the late June Caan, John, passed away, so Alex is no longer affiliated with this agency…Now if it was just a transition of the agency falling to someone outside of the Caan family and just a name change I do not know, but Alex has a new booking agent listed…

We can write to them to implore them to look into this delay for we feel that Alex is being used as a pawn in this manical Nina’s game…

  35. Linda,

Just read your post and I couldn’t have said it better and with such blunt truth as yourself… Great post and I hope Tiffany, our site’s administrator, gets your message out to all that view this board, not just the ones subscribed to this particular thread…

TIFFANY, Can You Please send Linda’s letter, above mine, out to all who read this site in whatever capacity??? We need to stoke the fire a little and get attention drawn to do our utmost to get Alex back on TV post haste…better yet, get Moonligh back on the air with Alex and Sophia and the whole loved crew… Mostly hoping that Alex can team up again with Sophia and Jason in another show soon…

Now back to you Linda… I feel the same way about Nina Tassler as you do & so do most of Moonlight fans… That is part of why Queen B—h Nina is procrastinating and dragging Alex’s hopes along… I do not feel an Alex project will actually materialize… And she may just play him along, if he is working on co-producing this project, until time runs out or tempt him to keep trying and entice him into another contract… Her own ego is standing in the way of providing CBS audiences with decent shows, especially since the one they lost viewers over after the last episode of Moonlight aired, may be the beginning of the Fall of CBS at the hands of a manicial woman…. She knows she did wrong, but won’t admit it…her ego is too big b/c she probably did sleep her way to the top… She is also, in her immature way, punishing all of Moonlight fans for saying the truth and letting CBS and the world know what we thought of CBS’s queen…

My other gut feeling is that not all of this may be due to Moonlight fans broozing Nina’s ego… I hate to think of this but it is a good possibility… Perhaps Queen Nina thought she could get a “command” performance from Alex and he, being the sweet, honest and moral guy he is, turned her down flat… Now wouldn’t that give her a reason to retaliate… We, the fans, are not actor-centric as she claims, most of us never knew of Alex, Sophia prior to ML… It may be Nina who is now actor-phobic b/c an actor would not bed her…

BTW, want to de-throne Nina? Then also write to the company that holds the most shares in CBS, so actually owns CBS… That company is Westinghouse… Write to their CEO and every member on Westinghouse’s Board of Directors…

  36. Hi Everyone – Not much worth watching on TV these days, is there? I actually find myself reading again. I started the “Twilight” series – not surprising since I love the genre and miss MOONLIGHT. Any feedback on this book is appreciated. Getting back to MOONLIGHT, we all feel that it did not get a fair chance due to one person and one person only, the idiot in charge of CBS entertainment, Queen Nina. What is her track record for the new season so far? The stupid show put in Moonlight time slot has already on it’s way out. I guess we should be grateful that Moonlight was at least given a full season, albeit a strike-shortened season, but a season. Sorry to say, but I feel that as long as that witch is in charge at CBS, we will not see anything from Alex anytime soon, it is almost 6 months into this “new contract” and we are not hearing anything. I know that new projects take time, but if Queen Nina had her ego in check and listened to the fans, we would be watching Season 2 of Moonlight and not channel surfing to find something to watch or waiting to see Alex on TV again. I hope that we all continue to bombard Queen Nina and CBS to let them know that we are still out there. We can’t let up now. That is exactly what she wants. This would be another reason to continue dragging her feet on Alex’s “new project” and we don’t want that to happen. She is out of touch and out of control so let’s not continue to make it easier for her. You have to wonder though, just what does she “have” on the higher ups or who is she sleeping with to continue to have all this power? Is she that worth it? Glad she isn’t in my office. Take care all .

  37. Hi Pat, I read your reply to me . We watch the same TV shows but I also like Prison Break, Dirty Sexy Money and
Bones and I used to watch House but I am getting fed up with him. I am a TV watcher and when the show I like come on at the same time I tape the one I can.t see. I still miss my Moonlight and watched my tape of the last show last night. See Ya. signed hopeful

  38. excuse my typos…I really do know how to spell, but when I type fast sometimes miss a key…

Such as should be: Alex’s new project.
Will believe Alex’s new TV show when I see it ADVERTISED..

Hey, I know that there are other readers out there here on AOLO so lets’ hear from you as well…

  39. Hi Hope,

I just read your message and feel the same way that CBS did not give Moonlight a fair chance… I think it is all Nina’s doing, nothing to do with ratings…she is definitely ACTOR-PHOBIC where our Moonlight cast is concerned… No one knows much more about Alex’s new peoject other than what he stated on his interview…I still think that Nina will play him along until the contract is null & void…I will believe Alex has a new show on TV once I see it avertized…Until then I just believe that Alex is being duped & Moonlight fans are being punished by the “B” of CBS for not thinking she was a gift to the Entertainment world…

I, myself, have not even turned on CBS since Episode 16 of Moonlight, the fated Sonata… From what I have heard and read, CBS has nothing on TV that I care to watch… That network is a loser & Nina’s power, if not stopped, will put it out of the TV rhelm for good…

As far as ABC, yuk on Scrubs…And NBC is not much better in its offerings…However, I still like ABC better than any network as I have watched Grey’s Anatomy since it began there, but this year’s scripts leave a lot to be desired…Same goes for Desperate Housewives, another I have enjoyed since day 1, but do not like the current storylines… However, Brothers & Sisters is still solidly holding my interests..

YouChoose has a petition still in effect to get a Moonlight movie noticed by Joel Silvers…So go over there & read the comments and add your own… Hope it will someday be made…However, much in tinsel town is depending on the SAG (Screen Actors Guild) negotiations as to whether there will be a full blown strike commensing in the near future for, both, TV & movie actors; this can put an abrupt stop to any future filming on either screen…Ad to this is the economy of the world, not just here in the U.S.; the world is feeling the lose of money value and the teetering stock market… So do not think that these people in show business are rich, it won’t hurt them because that is dead wrong; they are feeling the recessive finances just as we are…Same for them, if they are not working, their bills do not get paid and they can lose everything, too… Last year’s writer’s strike hit hard in the entertainment communities, which they are not rapidly recovering from and are now facing this SAG uncertainty as well…

Alex may or may not belong to SAG, but being a now International star of the little screen, he will, no doubt, feel this crush just the same…

  40. Hi fellow Moonlight lovers, I could not believe it when I saw where ABC is going to have Scrubs back on their network and TNT is going to have a new show coming on mid December. I know Moonlight fans requested TNT to please pick up our show after it was canceled I know I did. The NBC show Life is being changed from friday night to Wednesday night with Jungle Lipstick. CBS did not give Moonlight a chance, either did ABC they could have picked up Moonlight like they are picking up the silly show Scrubs.I still refuse to watch any CBS shows and am doing fine with what is out there on TV.Let me know if there is any advertising on Alex’s new show on CBS TV. signed Hopeful

  41. Please excuse my typos…Sorry. I do know how to spell better than that…

  42. Hope & Loretta and anyone else posting on AOLO,

Yes, “FEED” was most certainly a role so different than we are accumtomed to our image of Alex… One cannot help to admit that he was absolutely brillant in his part, however… And he did co-produce the film made in AU…It was made very pre-Moonlight in 2004, I believe

It’s great to here that you were able to rent the film in Blockbuster…Perhaps now, with Alex’s growing popularity here that more video rental places will catch on and begin importing some films and Aussie TV series he made in his native land…One of the best, which he was nominated twice for the role in our equivalent of an emmy, was “The Incrdible Journey of Mary Bryant”… This was an Aussie TV miniseries in which he played Will Bryant, who was based on the actual man who was married to the real Mary Bryant in the early penal colonies which AU was founded by the British for 3 centuries ago…was based on a true story…

As for Alex’s new project..remember that 1st it must be presented in pilot form prior to it being actually selected for TV; so pray that CBS is not stupid again, but with the shows they have on, it is a wonder anyone watches the network at all anymore… However, what worries me is the unsettling dofferences in the SAG, Screen Actors Guild, which encompasses even the TV acotirs as well and movie thespians… So all TV projects may get shelved &/or put on hold until, if at all, this disagreement ti settled amicably… So far it hasn’t and they are now calling in another mediator…

  43. I enjoy the comments from others. I too hope that Alex O’loughlin will be back on the “tube” soon. I do miss the Moonlight series with all of the other actors as well. I would like to see more interviews with Alex. I am anxiously awaiting his new project. Sure hope it happens soon. I would like to see more interviews with Alex. CBS just is not the same without him in the lineup.

  44. Hi Pat Schau and anybody reading this. I just wanted you to know that I did rent “FEED” FROM BLOCKBUSTER if any one is wanted to see it. It was not my cup of tea. I still love him though. I can’t wait to see him on the 2 shows of “Moonlight” that I missed taping no. 6 and 8 but I will have to wait until next year.Let me know if Alex has another interview online. Thanks. signed hopeful

  45. Hope Hi & Hello to all who Post here,
Thank you for the complement & incentive…No need to coax as I could talk about Alex movies, news & Moonlight ever after… Be sure to try to see Alex’s Australian movies, however, you may not like “Feed’ which is so unlike the Alex we have come to know; he plays a psycho byt the name of Michael Carter… Bur in “The Incredible Journey of Mary Bryant, the warm, loving ^, yes, sexy Alex shines through, even though this is a movie based on real Australian history…

As I found out from trapsing around every video store around my city, it is quite difficult to find Alex’s Aussie movies on any store shelf for rent…the only Alex movies available are those made stateside as the ones you had mentioned…And he has yet to come close to getting top billing and the main star status in any American productions on the big screen to date; though I keep hoping that for him…

In order to get the movies I mentioned or any other Alex movies or TV series, whether from US or AU (he did Black Jack II in his native land) you will have to purchase them from an online source and the most reliable is Amazon.com…I believe you can also link to that site through this site…

And, I wanted to let you know, and everyone who posts her on AOLO, that I recieved an personally autographed (not superimposed like it is stamped into the paper) picture of Alex as a thank you for letters I have written & the birthday gifts I sent to him in August… It was not just signed with his name but actually addressed to me (actually to Tish, which is my real nickname I prefer)… I was estatic to receive it…He must have been downloaded with many warm wishes for it only arrived a little over a week ago…

    Warmly, Tish/Pat

& also waiting anxiously for more word from Alex’s post online about what is happening as we await his new project… I just keep praying that I am wrong and he will be back in our sights again soon on TV

  46. I love your comments Pat Schau, keep them coming. I also did not know of Alex until the Moonlight show. I rented Invisible and August Rush I think thats the name and to me they did not do him justice. Moonlight had such a good story line and his part was so caring and loving. I Am a TV watcher and really miss my Moonlight and so far nothing on the new shows compare with it. Keep me posted on whats happening. signed hopefil

  47. Forgive the typos above, the last line in the 3rd paragraph should read:
I, like so many others, miss the “Moonlight”because it was the perfect show that allowed so many viewers to relax within the unfolding story each Friday night and not, for 1 brief hour, have to face the woes of LIFE; we could bask in the fantasy & glow of Moonlight…

And just to let you know, since Moonlights cancellation I have actively fought to bring it back… I have read all of the 4 novels, thus far wrotten, of the Twilight sereis” by Stephanie Myers… I have written to Joel Silvers & Alex, sent Alex B’day greeting personally in gift & card form… I was the recipient of a great glossy autographed personally pix of Alex in thanks… I would still try to encourage TPTB to reconsider resurrecting Moonlight again someday…it is still a perfect project for all who were in the cast including the main stars, even though some may be involved in other projects at present, but this is show biz & characters are always killed off in one way or another… And I have, to really acquaint myself with Alex( also Sophia) have purchased 3, thus far, of his films: “Oyster Farmer”, a delightful Aussie romantic comedy; “Incredible Journey of Mary Bryant”, which is a fims based on actual historic facts and Alex was absolutely superb as Will Bryant; “Feed” in which Alex plays a believable psycho, Michael Carter, but this movie is not for those with weak constitutions; and on a lighter note, I als have “The Holiday” which only has Alex in one totally all kissing scene that is superimposed into the movies as it is featured on a computer screen within the film itself…I also found & bought a copy of “Tristan & Isolde” starring Sophia Myles & James Franco(who is another talented up & coming star), which is a tale similar, to me, to Camolot, but without the music & is depeicted to be during the still barbaric era of Irelands beginnings…

I am intending to purchase the newly released series of the “6th season of the Shield” which is the only season that Alex was in the show playing Detective Kevin Hyatt…I read that he left the show b/c he was offered the lead in Moonlight…I also read that we can now purchase “Black Jack II, which I saw a clip of in YouTube & it looks worth the $ to see Alex in this part… I would like to purchase any film or show with Alex within it as he’s an actor who can keep an audiences attention in his ability to play his parts well keeping an audiences attention; it doesn’t hurt either that looking at him is also pleasing to most women’s eyes…

As for the Moonlight DVD set, I plan on purchasing a backup set… I know, you are saying “backup”? Well, I had the good fortune to receive a very welcomed & ideal gift from a friend & ML sister who had her DVR’s copied by a family member & done up for ONLY presents for her friends…Another reason I would purchase another ML set is so that all the sales of Moonlight will show all the execs at CBS that cancellation was WRONG & maybe someone smarter than Nina, will override her and ask Joel, Alex, et al to bring back the Moonligth to its fans again…

  48. I read the interview in printed form and all I can say is that I wish Alex only the best of everything because he truly deserves to get and have the best because he is the best…I pray that he never ever changes the genuinely sweet man he seems to be & lovingly attentive star to his many fans whose numbers are growing by the day…

I miss our Moonlight, but glad the DVD is coming out for all plus all of the other acheivements on film under Alex’s belt..and, in this case, thank goodness for new technology that allows us to bring all of this right into our homes…

I must admit that I had never watched “The Shield” ever, with or without ALex here in the US…Never knew of any of his Australian made films for theaters or TV….I basically never knew Alex O’loughlin existed until he starred in Moonlight on CBS…And, I also must admit that I am not much of a TV watcher, but did not, even before Moonlight, bother to turn my TV onto CBS because none, & I mean none, of their programs appealed to me… I was told about Moonlight right after the 1st show aired, so I watched from the 2nd show airing onward…glad when some of the earlier episodes were repeated during the writer’s strike (which I feel was part of the cause of the injustice done to Moonlight…I wanted more and more of Moonlight, not just because all of the characters within the stories were portrayed so well by this little know cast of actors, but because, also, the main storyline, which was told within the plot of each episode, was so appealing, so fascinating, gave new prospectus on vampire folklore & that it was a program that could easily be enjoyed by all ages from kids to adults in their generic years… I, like so many others, miss the “Moonlight” because it was the perfect show that allow so many viewers to relax within its unfolding story each Friday night and not, for 1 brief hour, have to face the woes of like; we could bask in the fantasy & glow of Moonlight…

Now I have come to appreciate the talents of all of the young stars of Moonlight and do wish them all, including Sophia, who to me is one heck of an actress who hopefully, I wish, will do more projects with Alex, Jason, who suffered a double whammy, undeserved because he is a good actor, in a short amount of time with the cancellations of both Veronica Mars & Moonlight, and Shannyn, who made me believe she was Coraline & made herself, for one season, the TV character, Coraline, you loved to hate…And, most assuredly, Alex who has the ability to climb to the highest pinnacles in entertainment achievement in the years to come…

Alex’s mention about his new project gave us all hope that we will be able to see him in the future on TV…Note I did not mention the near future, because, for one, the new Fall TV season has already begun and all the shows, even the ones to replace ones that do fail, have all been lined up…And, secondly, because Alex and the others behind this project, has to pitch this new TV project to CBS, I would gather, which means the Queen B…. Nina, and that is my worst fear because she is not a wise head to be in such a position of decision as she is…

Blessing & Love, Alex, go get them & give them Hell or, I can assure you that your fans will…again & again & again…
