It was another great week in the Hawaii Five 0 fandom with lots of Alex O’Loughlin pics and videos. Of course, if you do not like the color green, you might not agree, but if green is your favorite color, then this week you were quite pleased. We are referring to the gigantic green screen that Alex and the team were shooting against all week for what Peter describes as the best season finale to date.
With that said, the real BIG NEWS of the week was the renewal of the show for another season. It was very exciting that for two years in a row on the fourth Thursday of March, an early renewal was given by CBS. With hopefully no more speculation or question, the show and Alex will return for many more episodes to add to the collection. EP Peter Lenkov revealed the artwork as well as the news on his IG account.
CONGRATS to EVERYONE that makes the show a success!
There were also a few other fan and behind the scenes pics so here is the rundown of the busy week.
Behind the Scenes
As mentioned above they were shooting the season finale this past week against a green screen. The credit goes to Hawaii_isla808, who is a local photographer in the area for catching the majority of the pics and videos. Please beware some might consider these SPOILERs, although they do not show much without a lot of other background info. Either way you have been prewarned! if you are sensitive to that kind of thing do not scroll further.
This one is a good pan angle to see how much work really goes into shooting a scene like this. If we had to guess this scene will in itself last less than five minutes. Although you can not see Alex in this one you can hear him as he is in the truck.

This candid shot of Alex, Scott, Grace, and Chi looking all tough and probably busting into laughter shortly after, is credit of Chi’s wife Julissa on her IG account. She posted it in celebration of the season 8 renewal although it was taken prior.
The majority of the cast was out shooting on Friday and Justin Fischer shared this on his IG stories. It is a very short clip.

Teilor Grubbs also posted this cute pic of her and Alex during the Morimoto Birthday Bash event when she posted a bunch of BTS stuff of her and different cast members. There is a really sweet one of her, Scott, and Scott’s dad, James if you also want to check that one out.
A couple of boys were able to catch Alex for a photo. He is so sweet to have stopped, showing once again why he is adored by anyone that meets him. Got to love the hat!
Alex was out and about Friday night at what looks to be a fitness store and this fan ran into him and got a pic. Once again he proves to be one great guy based on her description of him as a humble, chill, down to earth guy.
Peter shared a few editing clips on his IG stories so we grabbed those to share. It looks like there will be some good action and a good story coming up based on them.

Will Yun Lee who has played Sang Min since season one, episode one celebrated his birthday Thursday and the cast took the time to share a birthday wish with him. You do not see them do this often so Will must be a hell of a guy, Hopefully Sang Min will be back a lot in season 8 as he always adds some spice to the mix.
This old pic showed up a lot around the internet, and because it is so adorable we will include it here, too. Alex sure loves Dusty and it shows from every pic he is seen in with her. H50Europe located the pic so kudos to her.
Finally, leaving the best for last, we would be absolutely amiss if we left this out. Brian Wallace who shares a lot of BTS stuff though his IG stories regularly, posted this nice tribute to Alex on the day of the season 8 announcement. It totally reaffirms what we and most Alex fans know about Alex and his character…He is one stand up guy. It is good to see him get the recognition from the cast and crew that he truly deserves.
That’s it for another great week around Alex. They will be putting the finishing touches on the finale this week and then going on to episode 25 and wrapping on the 7th. Note that ep 25 will air before 24 this year based on shooting schedules as Peter noted a couple weeks back on his IG account. Alex’s last day of shooting typically falls sometime in between. It has been an amazing season and only a couple more weeks of BTS stuff until season 8 begins in July, so let’s hope for some more great pics before it goes dark.
Have a great week!
