Alex Returning to Pittsburgh Next Month

threerivers_2

Some new updates from Rob Owen at the Pittsburgh Post Gazette.

Alfre Woodard will join the cast  and take over the role of Dr. Sophia Jordan that was played by Julia Ormond in the pilot episode. I like this news since I rather like Alfre Woodward.

Also, Alex O’Loughlin and Katherine Moennig will return to Pittsburgh to shoot scenes sometime next month. A date for the location shooting has not been finalized.

If and when we hear specific dates and times I will post them here. I think it is likely they will choose public places easily recognized as being Pittsburgh and not closed sets, unless those sets have awesome views of the city. We shall see.

  1. I can hardly wait for Three Rivers to start. I too like Alfre Woodard. She’s an excellent actress. She will certainly add to the show. The better the cast is around Alex, the better for him and the show. Hoping the show will be a big hit for Alex. And Tiffany, many thanks again.

  2. Tiffany – any idea of how long Alex and Katherine are planning to be in Pittsburgh? There are so many great places in Pittsburgh that are perfect for them to film. The best view of the city is from the top of Mt. Washington. Not only is the view breathtaking, but the restaurants are 5-star and as equally beautiful. It would be fantastic if “Three Rivers” could be filmed entirely in Pittsburgh. Thanks for the updates – once again, great job as always. 🙂

    1. I am not sure JoJo. They probably plan on securing shots to last for the first 13 episodes but of course many of those may end up in the opening credits to give it that Pittsburgh “feel”. I hope to know more before they go cause I may end up making the trip if I can.
