Very James Bond!

Spotted this adorable photo yesterday courtesy of @EmilyBergl. I think she is starring in episode two of season two and snapped a photo of Alex next to a four legged costar.

The ladies are all aflutter from seeing Alex O’Loughlin shoot a gun riding his horse.

Reminds me of how many fans have said they are dying to see Alex in a western…

On loving workouts outside of the gym: “I much prefer being in the canyons or the hills or the ocean – being outside and using the resistance of the earth and gravity and my own body weight. I’d rather hang from trees and do pull-ups than be in a gym, surrounded by people in Spandex.”

On keeping his mind clear with exercise:“[Attention deficit disorder] went diagnosed and I managed to keep it hidden, but it caused me a lot of frustration. When I stopped being cerebral and became physical, my mind cleared. That’s probably why I like to be so active. It’s a huge part of the balance of who I am.”

And while I was there I happened to see this one (below) and someone here recently commented that they wanted a Moonlight tee with the Moon logo from the credits… here ya go. It even has a Fleur de Lis on the back!

“It’s really important that if you’re an artist involved in recreating something as iconic as this, that you find some way to step away from that. First of all, there’s a lot of fans of the old show and a lot of critics who are looking to get their teeth into us. And then there’s also a lot of fans and friends of Jack Lord — who played the original Steve McGarrett — and I’m an Australian. So I can’t think about any of that. All I can think about is doing my work, being true and honest within the character and trying to deliver on time.”

For a number of years, O’Loughlin struggled to find his place in LA. Just as he’d put down some roots, he had to relocate. “When I first moved over here I was really, really nervous. It took me six years to settle into living in LA. I had my life together there, my niche and my friends. And I’m like, ‘Wow, I’m up and moving to the middle of the ocean, to a small island where 
I don’t know anyone.’ And it’s one of the greatest things that’s ever happened to me. This place is one of the greatest on the planet; the people here are amazing. I’ve already made so many incredible friends that I’ll have for the rest of my life. I can’t really see myself leaving, regardless of what happens to the show.”

From USA Weekend…

Cooking. He cooks for company, and “people politely eat my food.” But when he’s alone, “I eat out more, just because it’s easy and you can do it pretty inexpensively.”

Surfing. He has learned how; the trick is when. “It’s dark when I leave and when I get home. I dream about the next wave I catch.”

Working out. That is something he has to find time for, because his shirt’s off a good bit during every episode as super-cop Steve McGarrett. He works out in his trailer, “where no one is. You feel like a bit of a [jerk] doing push-ups and pull-ups in front of everyone.”
