I have added a new feature to AOLO… a forum. The blog is awesome but it is usually just me talking… blah, blah, blah. Some of the posts here are getting anywhere from 200-500 comments so it is time to give you a place to create your own posts and chit chat with other Alex fans about anything of your choosing. You can share pictures, fan art, fan fiction, private message each other… whatever you want. You need to create a user account and then you get started posting. Enjoy!

PS: If you notice anything amiss or have any issues just email me… I haven’t used phpbb3 in a long time and it is what I used to create the forum.

I did not know this and was completely surprised by it when I saw the movie in theatres today. I kept scouring every scene she was in to see if I could spot Alex as an extra but did not see him….bummer.

Holly plays a singer who is very nearly attacked after one of her concerts and the hero of the movie played by Liam Neeson comes to her rescue. She played  a very likable character and it was nice to see her…a small reminder of Alex. The movie was decent too. :)

Outlander with Sophia Miles…who played Beth in Moonlight.

Also Underworld 3 which does not have any of the Moonlight actors but it is a vampire movie…a prequel to Underworld 1 and 2…which rocked.

The trailers for both movies look insanely good.

I introduced the series here for Moonlight fans who were aching for their vampire fix. It is rumored that Moonlight was created with the Twilight books in mind…kind of an adult version of Twilight. There are some similarities and the most striking one is the name….aka Twilight and Moonlight.

Twilight is a love story between two teens…a vampire and human. Moonlight is a love story between a human and vampire and it throws them together in much the same way Bella and Edward are at school with Mick St. John being a detective and Beth being a reporter. They cross paths often when they work on the same cases.

Twilight’s Edward thinks of himself as a monster and he feeds on animals to be able to live with himself. Mick St. John also thinks of himself as a monster and he feeds on donated blood. Bella is inquisitive and discover Edward’s secret through investigation. Beth is an investigative reporter. Both Bella and Beth (see how similar the names are) learn of their friend’s vampirism and instead of being repulsed they are intrigued and it makes them closer.

I could probably list more similarities…but I am sure the screenwriters also tried to make them very different so they wouldn’t get into hot water…legally.

Read my review of the Twilight movie if you care to see it. I rather liked it.

Well, if you are looking for another awesome vampire series…I have found it. A series of vampire novels with a great love story between a vampire and human. A movie based on the first book is also coming out in December.
