Hawaii Five-0 1.2 Ohana Recap

Pothead Hacker: Can I smoke in here?

Steve and Danno: (in unison) NO!

Pothead Hacker: Harsh…

Sorry for my absence Alex fans. I haven’t had much time to dedicate to this site lately. I have been watching the shows of course just haven’t had a chance to blog about them. If anyone wants to volunteer to do recaps and post updates email me and let me know. I may choose a volunteer or two to help out. Although it makes me very nervous to do so since the last time I did that.. it didn’t end well.  The gal who I allowed to post here got a swelled head, ran people off who disagreed with her viewpoint, harvested emails for her own personal use (to start her own site), and otherwise made a huge mess for me to clean up. Of course I have gotten to know so many of you over the past couple years you all feel like family. So if you keep up to date on all that is Alex and want to post here, then gimme a holla and we will chat.

Ohana.. which means “family” is episode two of the new Hawaii Five-0. It follows the story of a Roland Lowry, a former Security Expert for the NSA, who is kidnapped by unknowns while he is talking to his tween son on the phone. The US government asks Steve to find him because he may have information about a national security issue that could bring the country to its knees.

Steve, Chin Ho, and Danno track down one of the kidnappers who was injured and play hardball to get information. Once again Danno and Steve spar over the methods used to interrogate suspects.  Once the suspect’s background is confirmed they know they are likely dealing with a heist and they wonder what Lowry had that other people now want. After inspecting his home they find a secret room with computer equipment and they call in a local expert/pot smoker who tells them that Lowry has built a skeleton key that can access any secure or encrypted network. Steve deduces that Lowry was turning the skeleton key over to the US government when he was abducted and that this piece of dangerous technology is now in the wrong hands.

Highlights:

– Steve emerging from the water in swim trunks

– Danno, Chin Ho, and and Steve in the elevator with the tourist family

– The pot head hacker and him calling Steve “dude”

– Steve, Chin Ho, and Danno all getting dressed up in their uniforms to honor Kono after she missed her graduation ceremony and Steve telling her they are a family (Ohana) – so sweet!

*************************************************

It was a solid episode and I liked the whole family concept but I have seen this exact same skeleton key idea on another show, so I was kinda bored by the story.

I give it 2 out of 4 dudes “baked like a potato”

  2. Welcome back Tiffany!! We are all so glad you are back and posting for us. When I first read this blog, I researched your archives so I totally understand how ugly it got on this website. I would never have gotten on here at that time after reading the posts by that obsessive fan! I’m so glad all of us fans on here are now dedicated to Alex and are totally enjoying our weekly Hawaii Five -O!! Thanks so much Tiffany for all you do—we’ll just have to be a little more patient!

  3. I watched this episode and I love it, but in the final part, when they’re all with Kono, Chin gives her something that I don’t get to recognize, I read what’s written on it, but I don’t know what that is. Can anyone help me? Thanks.

  4. Friend Tiffany: WHEEEEEE, YOU GO HAWAII FIVE O!!! THEY ARE NUMBER # ONE ON THE
THE NEW FALL TV SCHEDULE.!!!!! I am so happy for them and for our beloved Alex and you have no idea what you are bringing to us with your updates on him. I’m a “dummy” computer type person so wouldn’t know how to do much.. I basically dial up what others have done…and you do it the best. Alex must have 25 different sits out there and the music on UTube ….the latest is (and I don’t swear much) is “God damn your beautiful” Oh boy, its great. Love from Suzanne Alex’s Forever Fan

  5. Tiffany, you are the best! So we hear from you every other week or so, it’s OK! We are all busy and some of my friends take a week to get back to me.and, being a single mom, the kids somehow think that they are priorities! 🙂

  6. What can I say gorgeous, seeing Alex’s athletic body swimming, and emerging from the water like Adonis from the waves. Enjoying learning more about each character each episode

  7. Please let me know if I can help in any way. I enjoy & appreciate my link to this site. I am a professional with limited time during the day, but I would be willing to help in any way necessary at the end of the day to help keep this particular site up & running. I have found, for the first time, that I am a fan of a celebrity – I especially appreciate his humanitarian work off-camera & I would like to help you promote him to others as needed. Rest assured, I have limited time to even think about stealing info to start my own blog…. Actually, I have neither the time or energy to do so… However, I would not object to helping you maintain this site, should you find yourself in need of assistance. 🙂

  8. Tiffany ,Thx for the update. Would like to help u out but don’t think I’m qualified to do it. Just started this yr w/ feed back. One thing is for sure, I love Alex : AKA Mick, Steve or any part he’s played. Thx again for giving us yr time. pamela

  9. Yes, I agree with veronica. I really enjoy your posts Tiffany. I don’t remember what happened before but I can see you being cautious. Even if it means a few less posts at least I know you will make a post when you can and we can all hear about our beloved Alex. I really enjoy the comments and enjoy leaving a comment.

  10. Oh, no Tiffany. Please, make the time. I depend on your brilliant posts to keep updated about my dearest Alex. (no news about H50 in LatinAmerica yet) and I remember that sad experience you talk about, it wasn’t clear to me that it was other person who was posting and I even thought that you were “bipolar”, so sweet and cool one day and the next…bitter and agressive. I’d rather wait for your posts. Thank you so much for your dedication to this AOLO’s “ohana”.
