Alex O’Loughlin FanArt Wednesday

It is fanart time again and the creators were once again faithful to provide some nice works of fanart for those that enjoy that kind of thing. Alex has been an inspiration to many for use of their graphic skills and imagination to create some new ways to look at him. By getting to know the creators over the last year, we know there are different motivations as to why they do this. They range from honing in on their skills with photoshop for other things they have to do, to just being a stress relief. No matter what their reason is, we are glad they have each decided to share their talents with the fans. Thanks to them all and here is this week’s pieces.

Starting with Monika, she took an older fitness pic and emphasized the facial expression of his workout in the background. The addition of a stone like wallpaper added to the outdoors concept.

The next one is from Sonja and she took a popular Alex photo over the years and created his shadow silhouette in the back. She even mirror imaged the other side of his tattoo so very clever shadowing and additions to this one. Good job!

The next creative concept is one from Gaby and we should know by now there will be some sort of depth and potential story to work the imagination from one of hers. It could be a movie or book, and it could be scary or heartwarming…what exactly will he find when he is Alone In The Dark. Although there are a couple of movies with this same title, Gaby created her own creative concepttual piece so you can create your own conceptual creative story to back it.

Moving along, we have a movie poster from Bryna. This one is a take-off on the Speedracer cartoon. You can see the original here. With “007 Steve” in place of the Speed Racer, the team falls in place right behind.

Moving on to Silvia,  we once again pulled from the gallery one of her many pieces. With the he most recent repeats over the weekend revolving around McGarrett as a military man, it seemed to make sense.. Not to mention that Sept 11th just passed thus influencing the decision even more  to use one of her patriotic pieces. We know there is no way that fictional character McGarrett can even come close to the real heroes of these type of events, but it is nice the show reminds people of the fact that those that serve make numerous sacrifices to do so.  It is depicted well here through Steve’s reflection of the Pearl Harbor attack.

That’s it for the week, There was a very different concept from each of the contributors with no real theme like other weeks, so in other words something for all tastes. Hope you enjoyed them and at least one resonated with you. Until next week…Aloha.
