Nina Tassler on Alex’s Future

Alex O'LoughlinHere are two new quotes from the infamous Nina Tassler of CBS. She sure isn’t making Alex fans happy. Her latest quotes would lead us to believe there is no new show in the works for Alex yet and they are still trying to figure out where to place him. And here we thought we would be getting a new show soon. Argh! Here are the quotes:

Asked separately about the status of O’Loughlin’s deal with the Eye, Tassler said, “Hopefully we will [see him soon].”

Although Nina Tassler says how in love she is with Alex O’Loughlin’s”just like so many of you!”he has still not been cast on a new CBS series. Says Tassler, “Hopefully we will [place him on a show]. We do have an idea, so hopefully we will see that soon.”

Alex O’Loughlin – RIP Moonlight, but hey, at least Alex may be back. “Hopefully we will be doing a deal with him.”

  1. Hi Everyone – just a quick reminder to go onto CBS Feedback comment line and type in NCIS then let them know that we think that Alex would be fantastic as the lead in the spin-off of NCIS. Since this show has yet to be cast, timing is everything. We were vocal about Moonlight and that got everyone’s attention so now we have to be as vocal about this. Let’s show our support for Alex and let TPTB know we are anxiously waiting for his return to TV and what better way to have him come back. 🙂

  3. Hi Everyone – Interesting article – I was a fan of JAG and watched NCIS until I boycotted CBS. I think this is an excellent idea. I can definitely see Alex in a naval uniform (yum). JAG had a long run on CBS and NCIS is enjoying a long run now. In that interview a few months back, Alex seemed very excited about things but really couldn’t elaborate on anything. Maybe this is what he was so excited about! I think we should definitely begin writing letters to everyone at CBS and let them know that we think Alex would be perfect for the lead in this new series. The article made mention of Alex’s fan following so what a perfect opportunity to let TPTB know that we are still out there and are just waiting to support Alex in whatever he may be doing but we think he would be perfect for the lead in the NCIS spin-off. Pat, keep us posted on this one – sound like things will be moving quickly. Alex + NCIS-2 = SUCCESS !!!!!

CBS Boss Confirms NCIS Spin-off, Offers Alex O’Loughlin Update

You can never have too much of a good thing. Having proven that with a string of successful CSIs, CBS now is looking to capitalize on NCIS’ strongest season ever by spinning a new series off of what was essentially a JAG spin-off.

“It’s happening. We’re doing it,” CBS Entertainment president Nina Tassler confirmed Wednesday at the TCA Winter Press Tour. “We’ve seen an outline. We’re in great shape, and we’re just waiting to get the script. But we’re going to cast, and we’re going to shoot.”

It’s yet to be cast, you say? Here’s a provocative thought. CBS long ago inked a development deal with Alex O’Loughlin, who had cultivated quite a fan following as the star of the (too) short-lived Moonlight. Perhaps the Aussie hunk could return to the fore as the front man for NCIS 2? Asked separately about the status of O’Loughlin’s deal with the Eye, Tassler said, “Hopefully we will [see him soon].”

As for the origin of the NCIS spin-off — which, sources say, will simply follow the cases of a team situated elsewhere — Tassler said that just as the Mark Harmon starrer “was [born of] an episode of JAG, this will be an episode of NCIS” airing later this season.

So, who’s with me on the Alex O’Loughlin/NCIS 2 merger?!

  6. Hi Moonlight Hopefuls,I read inthe newspaper yesterday that the british and american actor Patrick McGoohan had passed away. His last movie was Braveheart and he also acted in “A Time To kill”. I don’t think he was very popular but in 1964 he had a TV series called Danger Man about a straighforward spy show that initially lasted just one season but was later brought back for three more when its popularity and Patrick McGoohan’s exploded in reruns. Can history repeat itself? Lets all watch “moonlight” and past the word. signed hopeful

  7. Hello Everyone – So the Queen has finally decided to come down from her castle to speak to the common people. She is a complete waste of time and space. Isn’t it amazing that we have not heard from the witch all this time and now that the Moonlight DVD is due to come out and the Sci-Fi Channel will begin to show Moonlight episodes on the 23rd, that she decides to honor us with her BS. In our heart of hearts, we knew this was going to happen. There was probably not a true project or deal for Alex, just a lot of words (lies), promises mixed with smirky smiles, winking eyes, and greasy handshakes from the witch herself. If she truly had Alex’s career in mind from day one, we would still be watching Moonlight and all of this would be a non issue. Too bad she didn’t make this speech weeks ago – she could have won a “People’s Choice” or “Golden Globe” award for her acting and the catagory would have been “Best Performane by someone talking out both sides of their mouth and ass at the same time”. She would have gotten our votes for sure. Though this is not what we wanted to hear, let’s not give up. As Pat suggests, continue the letter writing and let Mr. Jordan at Westinghouse know our thoughts and hopefully, something will be done this time. Until next time, take care all.

  12. Typo correction for my post above…It is not through in last paragraph but throw…sorry

Oh, and while I am still here typing away and hoping Alex fans will pay heed as I have this gut feeling Nina is out to punish Alex fans by keeping him from us and in doing so can ruin his budding career here in US… Please jot down these dates on your calendars, pre-date to a week or so prior, so we can do what we can, at least, to show other former Moonlight cast members support…

  13. ALEX IS A VERY GIFTED ACTOR AND WE (MILLIONS OF VIEWERS WOULD LOVE TO SEE HIM IN SOMETHING AT LEAST AS GOOD AS MOONLIGHT. WE THINK HE WOULD HAVE MADE A TERRIFIC JAMES BOND BUT WHAT DO WE KNOW……THE VIEWING AUDIENCE

  14. I have been saying that Alex & his agents have been duped by the Queen B… Ido not think she “loves Alex” one iota… I think Nina is actor/fan-phobic… And after reading this I feel she should lose her position as President of CBS Entertainment; her head should roll…

I also believe that Alex had the faith but I bet he doesn’t now in the presumed project he was to working on… I feel that too much was happening in AU at the June Caan Agency as its present owner,John Caan who was the late June’s son, at the time, was stricken ill and died a short while thereafter…Alex is also now affiliated with another agency, not speaking of his personal manager, Andrew Freedman, here… Believe the name to be Norman or something like that but I must check my computer as it has to be on there some place…However, I believe this Norman is with International Creative Management, but don’t quote me, again must check…But ICM is a very large firm representing mostly newcomer actors from foreign shows and this has had to slip through the cracks that a hot item like Alex is being made to succmb to a “HOLDING CONTRACT OF 1 YEAR’S LENGTH WITH CBS”… I definitely feel this is not good representation if they are not fighting this contract and that this is keeping Alex out of view and the limelight…

Perhaps this is what Nina really wanted so he is forgotten as time passes and his fans drop away from this fine young actor…I am hoping we are all as fixed on Alex as we had become, more so I from Moonlight, even now with him away from the cameras…I feel Nina has a score to settle, in her own evil mind, with Alex/Moonlight fans for the fact we all said it exactly how we felt, which was the truth even in our degradation of her…But come now, she asked for it with both barrels with canceling an award winning show and her own defamatory remarks about us as being actor-centric among other foul remarks that show her stupidity, rudeness, ignorance and a failure of leadership at a large network, which will eventually succomb to ruin with her at the helm…

I am truly concerned for Alex as this may make him go back to Australia permanently where he did work more than here…

As I have been trying to tell everyone, it is time, and them some, to get Nina ousted from CBS by writing snail letter sent certified with return reciept to the largest sharholder of that corporation which is Westinghouse…So start googling fans, or backcheck here @ AOLO on former thread news, for that pertinent information of who in Westinghouse it will be advantageous to write too…Also write that executive producer that was to get Alex on TV again in Alex’s own show, Mark GOrdon who has his offices over at ABC Studios in CA… Another shot is to write to Alex’s agents & personal manager to get some wood and anything else that can burn ON THE FIRE TO STOKE LIFE INTO ALEX’S CAREER AGAIN AND REMEDYING THE CANCELLATION OF MOONLIGHT TO RESURRECT DEFINITELY (& I CAN SUGGEST WHAT I WOULD THROUGH ON THAT FIRE; REMEMBER HOW TO ACTUALLY DESTROY A VAMPIRE FOR GOOD…WELL NINA CAN BE ACCUSED RIGHTFULLY OF BEING A BLOOD SUCKER AS SHE SUCKS THE LIFE OUT OF ALEX’S CAREER WITH THIS HOLDING CONTACT) IT IS FACT THAT ANY MAIL GOING TO ALEX’S PERSONAL MANAGER GETS SENT TO ALEX PERSONALLY UNOPENED…
