About AOLO...

The CBS show Moonlight did me in. Not only was I a HUGE fan of the vampire genre, I had to know more about the yummy Alex O'Loughlin who played the vampire P.I. Mick St. John. Moonlight was just my intro to Alex. I quickly began catching up on his other TV appearances and films. My adoration grew...Alex O'Loughlin Online was born...from a fan for the fans.

Alex is The Oyster Farmer

In The Oyster Farmer, Alex O’Loughlin plays a man (Jack Flange) that robs a fish market and sends the stolen money to a remote oyster farming community where he is working for the summer. He starts to panic when his package gets dumped in the river after the mailman has a stroke. He then tries to figure out which of these community members has found his money and he makes some great friends along the way…until money or no…he can’t resist making a life for himself there. This movie also has one steamy sex scene in it starring Alex that is not to be missed!

Here is a video interview of Alex on the set of The Oyster Farmer.

Oh Yes, I know the scene mentioned between Jack/Alex O’Loughlin & Pearl/Diana Glenn… It makes McDreamy & McSteamy look like a limp nightmare…

It was really an delightfully light comedic movie that was fun to watch… It gave viewers a glimpse of some rural Australian life on the scenic Hawkesbury River…

It shows a different, youthful Alex, but still the charisma was there as it is today…The film was made in 2004 or 2005, I believe… If any of you have Oyster Farmer, remember this is an early Alex, which will be a keepsake for when Alex wins his first Oscar & gets his own star of Hollywood Blvd’s Walk if Fame…

Alex’s male co-lead happens to be the same fellow who co-starred in The Incredible Journey Of Mary Bryant with him, David Field…Mr.Field seems to be a very in demand actor in his native, as well as Alex’s, homeland of Australia…But, we are ecstatic that Alex chose to come to America to further his acting career after making a start in that field in AU after graduating from the National Academy of Drama in Sydney…

So Alex is not just some fly-by-night actor found working some soda fountain or parking lot attendant… No Alex is for REAL, educated in his divine ability to give his audiences amazing and enjoyable performances in any role he takes on…and so far, I, for one, have not seen him be able to keep his audience mesmerized from beginning to end…

If any of you have not seen Oyster Farm, you can purchase this film from amazon.com… Actually, I believe this AOLO site is thankfully sponsored by Amazon, so check out the ads on this page and order from here, our home site… While you are browsing Amazon, be sure to read up on Alex’s other movies, including Feed, which he co-produced….Don’t forget to read the synopsis of Mary Bryant. too. which was an Au miniseries that had Alex up for two award nominations equivalent to our emmy…

Alex is going far in his career & we, here at this site, will stay right there with him in his successful journey urging him on by watching any TV series he is in or going to the movies that feature him…

Yep, McDreamy & McSteamy, a limp nightmare in comparison to Alex

Note, from the time of this early Alex video the changes; his face having the early roundness of youth…His use, in this film & video, of the original surname spelling: O’Lachlan (both versions pronounced O Lak Lan)

Oh, I love the video, and his Aussie accent seems thicker than I have heard it in recent videos here in U.S. And when you see the movie, I got a chuckle out of the banter between the character of Jack & Pearl, especially their quirky pronunciation of the word “sister”…
