The Hawaii Five 0 season 8 premiere is almost here and with just 5 days away, Alex and the cast were busy this past week shooting episode 8 already. For many fans, it seemed like an eternity and with a rocky Summer in some ways, the excitement has now grown to what we are all used to at this time of the year.
Even the fans that are currently on the island that were hoping for Sunset on the Beach back when they booked their trip, got some treats this past week, too. Alex made two appearances during the week that were caught on camera with one being much more accessible to him than the other.
It’s time for the wrap up to see what we mean and to catch up on anything you might have missed.
Behind the Scenes
The weekly succession seems to be a good way to go for so many pics that show up so lets do that again. On Monday, Scott returned for the McDanno reunion and both he and Alex were seen shooting in the Diamond Head area. Here are the pics that came from that day. (reminder, you can click on any of the pics within the collages to make them larger)
The first set comes from Cheryl Moreland who now lives in Hawaii. Hair and make-up and the sound techs were working hard as usual.
Amy Bakari who runs a Hawaii Five 0 jeep tour also was in the area and caught these.
Of course, a filming location would not be the same without Hawaii Isla 808 and he also was there and grabbed a different angle 🙂
Moving on to Tuesday where they shot at a local state owned hospital. A guest actor shared this pic of the boys and him.
And then came Thursday, where the action really heated up. The show was shooting at Magic Island and Alex made some ladies very happy as they not only got some behind the scenes pics but a few of them even tracked down Alex for selfies. Even though he was in a hurry to go home, he honored their request.
Starting with the behind the scenes, once again Hawaii-Isla808 shared some great pics and here they are.
Cheryl Moreland, who shared some of Monday’s adventures was there again too
The next set comes from Dotti who was one of the fans in town for the SOTB timing unfortunately without the event. She probably is fine with the way it turned out though 🙂 Also if you look closely, you might even recognize someone that was on the island for a visit.
It looks as if he is in deep thought in one of these pics.
Taylor Wily (Kamekona) shared this video of the Ohana around the table and the production of that day. They seem to be having fun.

Here are the selfies from the Magic Island event
Here is a video clip of Jolanda’s birthday which includes some Alex footage taking the selfies and the day at Magic Island.
On Friday, wrapping up the week, Claire Forlani (Alicia) was back filming and she shared this pic.
It can pay off when taking behind the scenes pics for the fans and the site as these pictures show below. Thanks to her for her perseverance and dedication for some great shots over the past month.
The next set go back to August 9th when Alex, Beulah and Chi were shooting near the Palace. You might have already seen a few of these pics around but we needed to get source verification before sharing. Since we now have that, enjoy these great shots from beachangel44 of that day when they were filming episode 8.03.
She really zoomed in on this one to get his hand reaction. Kind of different from a typical pic.
Here is one from September 1 when a family member of a crew member stopped in on them.
Peter was editing and here are the few clips that we grabbed from his IG stories. Alex and flight gear has already created many online comments, so it would be a shame for you to miss out.

That’s it for another wonderful week for the fandom. As we wait for the long anticipated premier on Friday, we would like to take the time to thank you for following us through the hiatus and also let you know of our plans for the season moving forward.
Sadly we will be discontinuing the Different Points Of View segment we did last season as the points of view people will not be doing regular reviews, so it only makes sense to let that one go. Also, because we are much more involved with behind the scenes photos now, we will also not be doing the fanart weekly. We will still do it from time to time, but only when we have time and on occasion.
We still will be doing our recaps and screencaps after the episodes, although there could be a few that are late or missed due to some pre-planned things a few of us have coming up. We will also continue our weekly wrap-ups as they seem to be popular. They are still planned for Sundays, but we could change it to Monday from time to time if the week calls for it. Also, to fill the Different Points of View space and since we did GIFS for that post, we will still do GIFS but probably only of Alex. We will also include the promo info and sneak peeks prior to each episode and we also have some surprises planned!
We are looking forward to a great season continuing to spread the collaborative community concept. Once again, we thank you for following and to all our contributors and admins and people that help make this happen, a big big MAHALO! It takes a village …ALOHA and bring on season 8!!!
