Alex O’Loughlin FanArt Wednesday FanArt

It is Wednesday once again and this particular Wednesday not only brings us only 2 days away from the season premiere but also to our last regular fanart day. If you read our wrap-up this week than you know the reason why it is the last one.

Over the last year we have had a lot of fun with this post and have gotten to know all the contributors pretty well. They have all been a joy to work with weekly. We enjoyed seeing what their creativity brought that week. It was even sometimes surprising as to when they all would present something similar in theme without knowing what the other was doing or in most cases not even knowing one another at all. We appreciate what each of them provided and that does not stop with this last one. It is time to take a virtual stroll to see what was created this final week.

We will start with Bryna again as here is one of those examples of coincidences we saw all year long. Bryna did this piece before she knew that we were stopping the fanart posts going into the season. The title of the piece is pretty ironic to say the least. It is also a take on the movie End Game, but she also added another twist to it. Jack Ryan was not a character in the movie so she added that into it, too. Some of her prior movie posters have included Alex as Jack Ryan so she added him once again and created her own mixed storyline. With all the typical debonaire action spy like qualities that one of Alex’s characters seem to have within her world, this fits right in perfectly.

Next Monika is going out with a bang with this complex piece of Alex and his photoshoots. As you can see she has individual shots merged together as the background for the main event upfront. Nice choice of pics throughout, but especially upfront. You can not go wrong when working art around Alex in his many photoshoots, as surely one would agree he makes a really good subject.

Continuing on, Gaby provided us two completely different pieces for the post finale. In the first one she went with the multiple Alex concept and pulled some great individual shots of Alex on the beach together, right down to matching the background setting evenly. Alex has always seemed to be at peace at the beach and her piece is a great depiction of such.

Her second creation brings Steve to light. You can see in his eyes that he will kick ass if anyone was to threaten someone he loves. There have been plenty of times over the seasons where we have seen this come to fruition, and it is doubtful that will ever change. Season 8 will probably bring many more moments where he has to bring out his big gun of protection for his Ohana..

Sonjs is next and she created what seems to be Alex in an alternative universe type kind of concept. By taking a less known photoshoot and matching the background to what he is wearing – the dotted black and white concept just gives the piece a galaxy type of look, She also really brings out his face and serious expression.

We pulled from the gallery one last time for Silvia’s contribution. Some of her favorite creations have been her military ones, so we decided to share another one of those. Alex as Commander Steve has always been powerful when he has his reflective moments. Here she took two very important times he was doing so and brought them to light in one. The American flag as the background brings his servitude front and center.

As for us, we created a Moonlight piece. The symbolism of the match could stand for many different things for Mick. Fire typically meant the end of a vampire, however Coraline survived the one that Mick lit. It could symbolize the moment of time Mick was converted. It could be the fire he had in his eyes for Coraline when they first met , and Beth of course thereafter. The flame of desire…etc.  There are many possible meanings behind this one. You choose.

That’s it for this one and also for the fanart days for a while. Once again, we are so thankful for the creators and their works over the last year. If you do not follow them on social media, you should, especially if you enjoy these type of posts. The majority of them share fanart on their timelines. Check out the links in all the credits at the bottom of the art to help find them. As we mentioned we might pop in from time to time with a fanart post, so until then…hope you have enjoyed our weekly Wednesdays as much as we have.
