Sandra, excuse the typos, I am really sleepy as it is already Friday here, 12:37AM to be exact… So I will bid you Good Night, my time…
Will Bryant did not die of fevOr, but of fever…
Hi Sandra,
I cried, too, when Alex got killed in Mary Bryant… But another ALex fan looked up the history about Mary Bryant and found out that the mini-series was glorified movie-making style… The real Will Bryant died as his children, one, the girl, Charlotte, he raised as his own & his son, on the small escape boat of the fevor and hunger…
No denying Alex is versatile and multi-talented, so, hopefully, we will one day see him accepting an Oscar here in the US for a movie role he will do in the future…
Hi, Tish,
I know quite a few young men, and lots of them have no tats. I think it is a fashion acessory, Some do some don;t. I don;t thnk Alex’s tats symbolise anytthing. I read somewehere he was thinking of hacvng the arm band ones on each arm rmoved. Don’t forget he’s got 6 of the things. They must have had to use a lot of cover makeup in some of the scenes.
Don’t forget Alex may have been born in Oz, like my daughter, but I was born in Engkland, his parents one is Irish the other Scotch, descent, Not sure which is which ,but O’Lachlan (his family name) sounds more Irish than Scotch. So he’s got in bred olde worldy morals. Hence the gentleman, but cheeky with it.
We had a Kind Brown snake (a very poisonous one) strolling across our road a few years ago. Where aI live in Qld is thousand of klns from any where int he middle of the Outback. We get like 40degs [lus in the summer (Christmas time. It is winter now, no rain for us anyway, the temp can go form 26 – 10 overnight..
Mary Bryant is fantastic. Alex plays a marvelloeus part well, with a true cornish accent. I cired when he got killed.I bought the dvd on the strength of Alex, same can be said for August Rush (although he’s not in it enouht), Oysrer Farmer, Black Jack Sweert Science, now bought The Invisible on Ebay. Of course recorded Big Wheel. So yes, our man is avery diverse actor.
Dyann, my friend, thanks for pitching in here; always a welcome & a pleasure…
You are so right, I never give up, but then I would not be happy that I let people down, especially all our Moonlight Family, if I did…
OMG, I totally forgot about the killing of those rogue vampires… But wasn’t that being done by the henchmen for Lola in BC? I think, also, how after fighting with Mick is how Lola met her demise in a vat of silver…
One day, if The Man Upstairs spares I would love to visit your country… Up where you live, especially, is so green & beautiful… And even though I live in a rural desert area, I also have to keep a check out near my house for rattlesnakes, scorpions, coral snakes & such…Actually had to call the fire department last week to remove a coral snake blocking my gate to leave my property; first time one of them here… I guess it is so second nature to me I never think about it much, but both our native lands have their danger, but such venemous creatures must hold a purpose, like keeping down the rodents & insects… Actually any snake is usually shy of humans &, unless threatened, will not just attack without cause… I can recall coming upon a rattler in the desert on a walk in the undeveloped areas with my dogs; it was, thankfully, digesting a rodent so it was outstretched… At first it just looked like a gnarly thick branch, which was in my path & I hopped over it…For some reason I got the feeling something or someone was watching me, then I saw its eyes had opened and were folllowing my movements… Needless to say my movements now were in backing away from the area in an easy but quick motion & softly talking to the darn snake hoping to mesmerize it so it would not coil, though as big as that rodent was inside of the snake, it would have been a difficult feat for the reptile… Been lucky, I guess, with as many times as I have walked the desert to not ever have been bit by a snake… been stung by a scorpion, what an electrifying feeling, by my house &, also been bit years ago (here 18 years) by a recluse spider whose venom can slough your skin off as time passes… Quick medical attention & I still have my skin…
Thank you for defining more about tattos for me… So do the tatoos on Alex mean anything from your knowledge of your countrymen… Do young men in AU tend to get such body art just cause it is the youth thing to do or due to peer pressure by one’s friends?
Oh my, that Shepherd was demonic, was he not???
Sometimes things happen, but it’s really FATE–maybe MOONLIGHT got canceled because it’ll go on to reach many more people from the BIG SCREEN. You never know until later why things turn out the way they do! For example, I just learned tonight that Joel Silver was Executive Producer on VERONICA MARS and that is the show Jason Dohring started on–I think if you watch his character on it you’ll see the beginnings of our Josef (I just got the DVD on ebay!) Also he played a character named Logan on that show, and the name made it to MOONLIGHT for our computer geek guy—FATE. I think MOONLIGHT has a lot more to give the world, and it’s not done yet!
Also I might point out that I personally know someone 87 years old who loved it and I know someone aged 12 who loved it plus all ages inbetween! This show crosses age groups and that’s what you need for a successful MOVIE. Lets just keep those letters going out—and get your friends to do the same!
Tish never gives up, and I think it’s great she finely got a place for her voice to be heard! Thanks Tish!
I also just this month saw MARY BRYANT and Alex was wonderful in that part so a must see for any Alex fan. If you haven’t seen it get it! But I’ll never be happier than when he’s playing Mick St John–and I hope Alex will realize he can never seperate himself from him–and we can’t put MOONLIGHT behind us, beacause it wasn’t just a show, it touched our hearts. And for me it was the combination of Alex, Sophia, and Jason that made the magic happen!
Acutally Tish you will find in BC both Mick and Beth manage to seank out a capsule of that vamp bloood/silver/.Yes, Beth went all over Mick after her partaking it,. But remember Mick had one also he showed it Josef, before Beth got there,. When she knocked he said “Did you forgot spmethin.” he thought it was Josef come back, but no it was Beth
Also silver is very bad for vamps, remember how it effected Mick when he found those bloodless vamps in the bins. , that he took to the morgue in a holdall..
Women, men and children all wear thongs (flip flops)over here, you can buy then cheap rubber ones, or even go to the ball ones. Yes, we do have lots of poisonous snakes, and deadly spiders. You keep your grass short. If a snakes in your yard, stay inside it will be your neighbours problem shortly. Spiders be careful in outdoor dunnies (toilets). Also outdoor furniture, We have funnel web and red back.
Tats are no more popular here than anywhere else. The Aboriginal people use ochre, and such natural substances to make body art, but only for ceremonial purposes, the sort that wash esoff. It is the Moari’s the natives of New Zealand who have extensive body tats, But they are swirls and lines, not birds, hearts whatever you can have done.
I love Moonlight watch it everyday. Was with a forum, which seems to have gone Moonlightfans. SO some of the stuff liek the bath flip flops didnt notice at firsr. But Jerry the move producer who Shepherd kills in 12.04 wore them after this swim, before he got a slash and fill my glass treatment.
LOL, I knew there had to be a common link with us besides Moonlight. I own 10 horses. I train horses along with my family as we compete on them in rodeo…
As for Alex, I think Alex would do a Moonlight movie if the word was a go. He always had a connection with Mick St. John. He loved the character, the show, the writing, the cast, everything Moonlight. It was apparent in his interviews…
Night and pleasant dreams…
Silverchex,
Yes, it was as if we were the enemy when, in fact, it was what we were all fighting for to begin with, in a manner of speaking, to make the Moonlight rise again… It was beginning to occur even here since Alex made that plea, for many took it to be a sign he, as well, gave up his ardor for Moonlight… I do not think Alex, or any of us, really wants to, especially since this was the show that made him really known… Then began an influx of pro Moonlight movie comments & our administrator, Tiffany, here at AOLO welcomed me to write the piece above, & we are going from there with all strong marching to our Post Offices to get those New letters in the mail asap…
It was my pleasure to blow on the embers for I will never give up on Moonlight. I’d use a flamethrower if I could to get the coals fired up under a certain producer…
As you may have also noted, and was mentioned here, many newcomers (we used to call them newbies, remember?) have joined the ranks of Moonlight enthusiasts thanks to the show’s exposure on the SCI-FI Channel… We are growing, think we would have if TPTB left it go into other seasons. However, this is making a definite Mark and will re-enforce our efforts…
Anyway, Silverchex, thank you for your praise, but nothing you would not have done yourself… However, I am a true Sagittarian & we do not take “No” for an answer…”Maybe perhaps, but not a no… Vampire Solidarity is rising again, but then was it ever really squelched? I am hopeful that the end result this time will be, at least, a Moonlight closure in movie form…
This go around will hopefully convince those that matter that Moonlighters are not, nor ever were, a cult, fanatics, crazed, immature, or actor-phobic… We will not go around describing Alex as “sex on a stick” as one administrator made a reference to “the man”… We will not be chanting in the rain, but we will get our letters to the right people who needs to take an interest for they have the cue into the means to make such a movie… We will act dignified & businesslike when addressing these people or we will be writing for naught. This is the campiagn, we hope, that will win and bring us back a form of Moonlight magic…
I am closing down for now as my rescue dogs need to be walked plus my day begins at 5AM to feed my horses… Good Night, until tomorrow…
Your Sister in Moonlight, Tish
I’m getting excited to see all the response for a movie! For the longest time if anyone mentioned wanting a movie you were blasted for such a thing. Since last year after Moonlight was canceled and there was no hope anymore for the series to return I started pushing for a movie. I’m glad the desire is still there for so many! I’m contacting my friends that still want one and are willing to write, some of them never stopped! Thanks Tish for blowing on the embers and starting the fire to burning again…
Hi Dyann,
Glad you stopped by…Your words made so much sense & I believe, like Star Trek, Moonlight will continue to live long after Nina is gone…BTW, tell Mischa & all about this site and this thread…okay?
This is a new campaign beginning, this, hopefully, will help bring the Moonlight to rise again… So please pass the word to have a look-see here & get those snail-mail letters to Joel, et al…
Your Spiritedangel Moonlight Sister, Tish
Hey Tish, I finely made it to the right place to POST on here–still find this site a bit confusing, but we’ll take it one step at a time!
MOONLIGHT MOVIE–It’s the next step and I do believe like STAR TREK this show will never die–Paramount canceled STAR TREK in the late 60′s and it STILL here! Sometimes an idea refuses to die–this is one. MOONLIGHT called to so many and spoke to our hearts. The fan base is only increasing with the SCIFI Channel showing it, plus the sales of DVD”S.
Alex, Sophia, and Jason created timeless characters and they have LOTS of adventures left to share with us. Lets get those letters out, and never give up. Back to my TREK analogy-Leonard Nimoy once wrote a book “I am NOT Spock”–maybe Alex is in his “I am not Mick St John” period–I mean he must have had a big emotional shock over the cancelation when it was so popular! Nimoy eventually came to realize, yes indeed he was Spock and was richer for it–hopefully Alex will as well!
And by the way I personally am a Gerard Butler fan, and a MOONLIGHT fan.
Butler once played DRACULA 2000 and early on I thought his Drac and Mick appeared like brothers in many of the acting scenes.
Anyway I ended up writeing a AFTER SONATA short story continueing where the TV Cameras left off that night.
Which then led to a MICK AND BETH MEET DRACULA 2008 Story, and I am now working on the NEXT storyline- MOONLIGHT DAUGHTER OF A VAMPIRE starring Mick, Beth, and of course Josef.
Anyone interested can find all these stories it in the Fan Fiction section of the site DiscoverGerry.net—–and I’m known as GypsyDy over there.
I also wrote a very long novel which is posted there as well AFTER PHANTOM OF THE OPERA should anyone be interested in that subject as well!
Thanks a whole bunch, Laura for being so “UP” about our mutual goal… I know you don’t mean Alex any disrespect about his newcoming show, but I am certain he would take it very hard to have 2 shows canceled back to back…
Where did you read only 9 shows ordered for Three Rivers? I listened to the Mega Minute last night online & it reported that 13 episodes were ordered… Either way it does not show me that TPTB are really pushing for Alex success as we are… again fan-phobia strikes…
I do not, would not, in anyway want CBS to rethink bringing back Moonlight on their network ever… I would prefer Alex break any contract he has if they cancel Three Rivers & implore the help of Joel Silver to perhaps, and hopefully, bring Moonlight back on, in TV series form, on another network… one network that would appreciate the Alex’s and the ML cast abilities as actors & also clearly see that it was this particular former network that is at the fault of the problems befalling Alex’s career and shows… not him, not the Ml cast, the writers, the storylines, or the shows themselves… Or, maybe the best we ML fans can hope for, the Moonlight movie done in several sequels on the big screen…
ASRRR, Tish
Tish,
I am so happy about the new campaign to get a moonlight movie (hopefully a revival of the show). I just read that CBS only ordered 9 episodes of three rivers depending on the reviews. I don’t mean to disrespect Alex, but I hope it tanks and the network sees how all of us are renewing our campaign for the show to come back. Maybe they will order a half of season to see how it will do again. Also, some of the bloggers are right, since Sci-Fi has started airing it there are tons of new fans of the show. We just keep growing. I am going to be sending out my new letters any day and I am going to try to get more people I know to do the same.
Sandra Fegan,
I just had a thought…perhaps the Gothic Cross (or Mick ring) ring Mick wore was his wedding ring from Coraline… What do you think? After she turned him, and later kidnapped the child, Beth, so she, Coraline, could be a family and she could keep Mick, she thought, after all of that, I wonder why he would still wear the ring?
Hi Loretta Averna,
Glad you are aboard..so let’s work toward that Moonlight completion movie with gusto…
Hi Sandra Fegan,
You are right that the Fleur De Lis is a trademark belonging to French Royalty… However, as for the ring, it is closly related but, known as the Gothic Cross, was wore by clergy &, perhaps royalty earlier on… My belief is that in those days, when Louie the 16th, I think, reigned, church & state were almost one, if not one… Now, as far as why Mick had such jewelry, I feel Coraline gave him the pendant perhaps for a wedding or engagement gift or perhaps she placed it upon him when she turned him…although the Fleur De Lis is also a symbol of the cross representing the Holy Trinity of the Cahtolic religion , which most French were at that time period, that are referring to God, the Father; God, the Son; & God, the Holy Spirit… Also Mick may have felt a deep religious need to wear some protection when he came through his newbie stages of being a vampire & got the pendent for himself to protect him from the “others”…
And, yes, I was correct, Sandra Fegan, you are quite observant of everything Moonlight…
Yes, I do believe I did see Alex’s lower back tatoo in the Ringer, must check again… As for the flip flops in Fever, I did miss that, but he did play a great part in that episode, didn’t he??? Seemingly he wears flip flops a lot, check out a past photo of him in Cancun with Holly a couple of years ago & he wore them quite a bit in Oyster Farmer… On that last, being you are from AU, I have been told, by a friend of mine living there for the past 20+ years, that AU has 9 species of the most venomous snakes in the world along with 2 of the deadliest spiders that can kill a human, so why would anyone be walking about out in the area of that film, OF, with flip flops on?
As far as “From the Past”, we must remember that Moonlight writers set a different folklore for these vampires, so apparently Silver was not poison as a wood stake to the heart does not kill but only paralyzes…
As far as B.C., I think it was Beth who smuggled the Black Crystal out, and I doubt Josh would have his “girlfriend” frisked… Remember she took some of the Black Crystal and when she was feeling its effects she went to Mick’s apartment to seduce him but wound up sick & that led to the famous shower scene of Mick/Beth fully clothed; but Oh My what thoughts that steamy scene, not only the water, could conjure up
In actuality, I was so engrossed by Alex’s acting I never ever noticed his pierced hole until seeing it in a blow-up pix online… Remember he did wear a earring in “The Invisible”? I think it is the in thing of his generation to wear such ear fashion, but the custom came priginally from pirates passed down to the Navy for those seamen who crossed the equator…By now Alex, even in an airplane, has crossed the equator numorous times…
Now since you are from AU, Queensland I think you said, I was told that many Australian youths get these body art tatoos as are also worn by other countrymen, the Aborigine. Why is this and it must hurt like the dickens, especially that one in such a tender spot as that on ALex’s lower back???
Hello All: I did send a letter to Mr. Silver to the above address about a month ago. Never thought about registered mail? I WILL send some letters to the above. I too own the DVD and miss them all so much. Will follow up with other letters. Of course I didn’t expect a response, and of course I didn’t get one.
Loretta
The cross around Mick’s neck and his ring are one of the same, though of course it is much more inticate than pendant. It is apparetnly signigicant to the St John family
Perhaps lance took Coralene to their sire, don’t ofrget they are from the French Royal family King Louis whatever number from the time of the French revolution and the guilotine.
A couple of sort of blopper, don’t know if you ladies ahve notice them. From the “Ringer” in the cemetary while fihtin with that uy, you can clearly see Alex’s lower back tat, Don’t forget he’s gpr 6 on carious part of his body.
Also from “Fever” and I must admit after I read about it, it is really noticable if you take your eyes off his dripping wet shirt ripped open to show the “body.’ He’s got adidas flip flops on his feet, In the part where the killer’s got Beth by the neck in that tatty motel room, after he’s broken the guys neck, he’s just standing there lookin down at Beth.
Where did he get the blood from in “From the Past”, also did he get the silver buck shots out of his back? Cause silver is like poison. In
In B.C how did Mick smuggle out the B.C he showed Josef, Josh made sure he got frisked at the club Valance.
Also when he became a vamp wouldn’t his pierced ear have healed over like all other wounds cuts.
Don’lt get me wrong I am not nit picking. Just a few endearing quirks that perhaps missed being edited out..
mary e, thank you so much for posting here… Your comments are so appreciated… I wish you good health & may you be spared your sight… And may we get that Moonlight movie soon…
However, this must be accomplished with normal mailed letter, especially to Joel Silver, being the most prominent figure to contact… You mentioned 3 in favor of Mick, so please implore these family members or friends to write to Joel Silver & perhaps they can also write a letter you dictate of what you want written for you to Mr Silver…
Many blessings dear…
Thank you Kim S, your support is appreciated…get the word to others please…
As for why ML was canceled so abruptly, I certainly cannot believe the reason was ratings, cause after it was canceled that Network’s stock rating plummeted drastically, plus they suffered the loss of many viewers to the network when we began an all out boycott of the network… We have just slightly lifted it by watching Alex on various TV spots… I, for one, am watching nothing more than that on that network, no other programming at all…
The stories were written very well, held our undivided interest and kept us coming back for more even after the lengthy Write’s Strike that crippled the show biz industry… And so true, each and every actor that was on TV Moonlight is essential to be in a ML movie for each one can be the only one to bring their own ML character to life so perfectly… I, for one, miss them all on a weekly basis, to me it was like family ( a bit of a strange group of family members , to say the least) coming for a weekly visit… And, I must say, I so miss seeing Sophia as she is one brilliant actress, wish she would return from her native England back here to the states…
Welcome “home” Moonlight & AOLO Sister, Char, great to see you back her…Your comments are very appreciated… I, with the help of all ML fans supprot in this venture, will do my best to get us all that ML movie… “Hell hath no fury like a scorned Moonlight fans who lost the weekly “bite”!”
Yes, I am definitely noticeing that the new ML fans are coming from SCI-FI showing of ML…Goes to show that representation & advertising the first network go-round just was poorly done… So far that is not seeming to be the case with the new TV series that will air in Fall; could be they realized to late or had been warned by other Powers that be…
The ultimate slap in the face to the entire staff of Moonlight was to cancel the show so abruptly and without closure (…an-award winning show!!) In an age where every cancelled show now gets to plan it’s final season and wrap up their storylines… they (and we) were left hanging. It goes without saying that I loved Alex in Moonlight– but I also loved Sophia and Jason and their characters Mick, Beth and Josef (a tribute to the actors). The writing and stories were incredible… why did they cancel this show??! If we can’t have Moonlight back, please, please, let us have a movie finale. Thank you for providing these names as a way to voice our thoughts on this. I plan to write each and every one of them. ~Kim S
i wish for a Moonlight movie with all my heart. I cried when Nina cancelled the show. My son thought I was crazy. I had never been obsessive about any actor or singer. Mick got to me. If they make a movie I will go to the theatre many times and then buy it when it comes out. I bought the series before it was available and watch it on a loop all day long. There are more questions to be answered. What does his ring and neckless signafy? How did Coraline get out of the fire? Was it like her brother Lance rejuvinated when his hand cought on fire? Where did Lance take Coraline’ and to whom? What about Josef and Sarah and Simone? Lots more Questions. Unfortunitually I am going blind and can’t write letters to everyone but I am solidly behind any push to see Mick and the whole cast back again. This is the first email I have sent and it has taken me over an hour to write. I will probably not write another but there are three of us who agree on more Mick. Thank you for letting me vent.
Good for you, Tish, my good Moonlight Sister. I am very proud of you for doing this and getting this movement going, which needs to be and has to be done. I will start sending out mail at the beginning of next week.
It looks like (from the comments above) that some people didn’t know about ML until it hit the SciFi Channel. That really was a surprise to me, but that increases our over 8 million viewers to more than that.
I, as you know, am an ML fan and have been from the 1st installment. I had to keep hitting the info button, to see who the actor was that was playing Mick St. John, as I had never seen him anywhere before that. Of course, since then, I have picked up most of his DVDs with the exception of The Invisible, which I have locked onto my DVR.
I agree with all of you that the entire cast needs to be in the movie, including, but not limited to David Blue and Jacob Vargas. The cast was, imo, perfect and all of them need to be in the movie, if one is made. That could be a monumental task, as I am sure that all of the cast has gone on to other projects. As was said in “Click”: “Fish got to swim”.
Hi Sandra Fagen,
I have not yet seen Black Jack; Sweet Science except for a few clips on YouTube… Here in the US I will need to buy a special DVD player, called a Region 4, as the US works only on Region 2, whatever that all means, too technical for this old lady… However, I plan to buy this Region 4, eventually, as I liked what I saw of the show & ALex’s character in it…
emani,
Wishes are just that, wishes… One must do their own “leg work” I was told once, by a wise older man, to get the things we want to be accomplished… So keep writing to Joel, Alex, all of the stars’s agents more than once if need be… Tell your friends who loved Moonlight to do the same…
“Wishes” only happen if one makes them happen, so we all need to get working and making happen the Moonlight movie…
What a wish to come true….a movie with all original cast members.
Hopefully Joel Silver hears our plea.
Thank you Teri for beginning your writing to TPTB, but keep it going and let others know we are trying to raise the Moonlight again, if only one more time on the big screen…Ask them to write to Joel as well as the all of the actors agents so they know that when the time comes they must arrange it so they actors are available to film the movie…
Thank you all, who have posted, keep the faith & don’t give up…I haven’t & I won’t…
vicki,
I do not hink any of us would want anyone else to fill the roles of Moonlight’s characters except the TV cast… Alex at the top of the list… Mick St John would not leap or fly without Alex…
laura,
thank you for acting upon this so swiftly,,, and thank you for being so UP…
Don;t worry TIsh 5 .I have Mary Braynt and I stated about his period ponytial being false,om another vomment. Also got August Rush, Oyster farmer,,Black Jack Sweet Science, and of course my favoutie Alex DVD Moonliht.
Sandra Fagen,
If Alex does not have time to grow his lovely wavy hair longer, I am sure they can fit him with a natural looking wig… Many stars wear them & we are none the wiser… Check out Alex as Will Bryant in The Incredible Journey of Mary Bryant; I believe that was a hair piece he wore for the ponytail at the nap of his neck. I do not think he had his own hair that long since we did not see his hair loose in any of the film…
And, oh my, Sandra, you have studied every detail about Moonlight, especially Sonata, haven’t you?
I do hope you will also write to SIlver and the star cast agents to try to secure a Moonlight movie… You live in AU & that makes it even more charming for you, Alex’s native land mate, to write to TPTB to get Moonlight completed… Thank you…
Silverchex,
I see Alex making the time for Mr Silver… I think Joel thinks of him like a son & I also believe Alex respects the man highly… So I see Alex transforming into Mick St John again as soon as Silver gives the word…
Alex’s birthday is coming up in August, the 24th, as we all know, so get him something, does not have to be extravagant because I believe Alex appreciates it all. I bet within 4 to 6 months after he gets the gift you will be getting that autographed photo… Let us all know please…
I know its hard to wait to here from him but he does answer his fans. I got a personal msg from him at MySpace in March before he went to work on CM, Three Rivers and The Back Up Plan. I’ve noticed that when Alex is in the slow time he does take time with his fans. Tish I must agree with you about that. He definitely wants to keep that ‘personal’ touch with us. I guess that’s another reason why we all think so highly of him.
I’ve also asked him for an autograph pic and still haven’t received it so I got the msg but not the pic, LOL. Thank you for your continued support to get a Moonlight movie. I for one have still not given up. I believe that if JS ever will get it together Alex will do it. They might have to find time for him tho the way his career is taking off!
All or anyting and everything Moonlight. I watch at least one episode a day from my two DVD’s. I got one from UK and one from Oz. Just in case as a backup.
Would love a big screen Alex and Sophie.
Sonata left so many loose ends. The voice on the phone? The list of names? DId Coralene really go for good.? What will Ben Talbot do with his file on Mick? What happens after the door closes on Mick & Beth’s ‘big’ moment. How will their relationship pan out, is there a future for a Human and a Vampire? Even if he is a non person sucking one. So many things with no closure. We need to see M.L again. ALex will have to grow his hair again, or will that be a problem, with Dr Andy?
Oh, forgot to mention I also posted a comment over at Alex’s MySpace Page which is awaiting approval by user… I showed my concern & also let him know I would be telling afib if I said I would let go of Moonlight… I expressed our mutual fan feelings about a ML movie and said it would not be the same, in so many words, wighout him breathing life one more time in Mick St John… So now let’s hope he finds time to check his page…
Sheri, Alex is really not avoiding any of us; some of us have yet to get an acknowledgement about the Christmas gifts we sent to Alex… One friend, who is another Alex fan, (she used to post here, too, but some stressful family matters & work does not allow her much free computer time) even bought him a sterling silver replica of his Mick Ring & called one of his agents for Alex’s ring size so she could, and did, have it sized to fit him… She has yet to hear from him either… Last summer, apparently he had more time to personally send real, not stamped on, autographed pix with a personal greeting to each individual; mine hangs in my office near my computer desk…The man likes to get to his own mail, so it may take awhile…I do not think Alex likes to take the impersonal touch and prefers to let his fans know he cares…He did post a lovely thank you to all for his Christmas gifts so, for now, that is relished…
If Alex’s career continues in a positive direction, he may eventually have to forego his lovely sentiment of answering each fan personally & go the normal impersonal stamped signature route…However, I feel Alex will always try to cast himself, in some way, into his fans lives for as long as he is in our spotlight…
Again, Thank You, Tiffany for allowing me to write this page & everyone who has so far posted here, thank you for voicing sentiments aloud about your Moonlight feelings…
Silverchex, how great to see you here & thank you for the above posted info that is so valuble…I recommend that we partake in posting on the imbd.com, which is a site with histories of all stars & anyone in Tinseltown. However I still feel strongly about the snailmail word getting noticed faster, especially if the letters pour in by the bushels…So folks let us do both & not just one letter, but many plus write to the stars agents as well… Please do not forget that… The addresses are listed above… If I missed someone or something, please note it here…thank you…
Let’s get that movie!!!! Vampire Solidarity! Rah, Rah, Rah!!!!!
So folks tell all you know who also loved Moonlight & want to see their favorite vampires come to the big screen for a proper farewell in movie form to start writing and get this attended to asap…
Folks, Mr Silver is a highly respected executive producers for over 25 years in Hollywood & he may need to have his attention focused again on Moonlight in a respectful way… I am certain that Moonlight is not the only serving on his plate…
I would love to get a letter from Alex O”loughlin expressing what he thinks about this. but if not, I understand, you can’t have your cake and eat it too…:)
And I like a lot of you have been writing and working for more Moonlight since it was canceled. I still have hope that JS will get off his laurels and make the movie. He called Alex, so the thought is there but maybe he needs a little encouragement to get him activated like fan support! Alex’s star is rising but I believe he would still do a movie if asked again. I’m in it for the long haul…
There is a thread started at the Joel Silver Forum at imdb.com:
http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0005428/board
You can request a MOONLIGHT MOVIE under the thread, “Mr. Silver, Please…”
I like alot of you still want to see some kind of resolve. In an interview Alex did with the Boston Herald recently promoting the Criminal Minds guest spot he said Joel Silver called him at Christmas time. Here is what he said…
Given the recent success of the big-screen “Twilight” and HBO’s “True Blood,” is there any chance “Moonlight” could rise for a big-screen reunion?
“(Executive producer) Joel Silver called me right before Christmas. ‘Alex, we’re making the movie. You in?’ ‘Well, sure.’ He hung up, and I haven’t heard from him since. I don’t know what the answer to that is. I don’t know.”
Yes! I too have the season DVD and have watched it several times. I agree , they left the last episode open wide. I think with the intention of picking up where they left off. It would only work thou if they bring back the orignal cast. I love this site and will continue to read it. Thanks:)
I meant to say I will NOW send them registered. Sorry for the typo
I am so excited I can’t contain myself. I have been writing Joel Silver weekly letters. I will not send them registered. My deepest wish is that they bring back moonlight to television also with a movie or two just like the x-files did. This is the best news ever that there are still an army of fans out there writing in. Hey everybody, keep writing in. Let’s make them sick of hearing from us.
I agree totally that we need a Moonlight movie! I got hooked on the show watching it on SciFi and I loved all the cast and the great chemistry. I have already sent a note about a movie to Joe Silver, but I felt your article says all my feelings about the shows cancellation really well, Lets get this movie made!
ABSOLUTELY – I’m a die-hard MOONLIGHT fan! There is strength in numbers so the more people that contact Joel Silver and the gang, the better. I’m including a photo of me in my Moonlight blood drive t-shirt to let them know we are out there – from all walks of life – and we want the enitre MOONLIGHT cast back to give the millions of us who voted for them as Best New Drama some closure. We need to know what happens after Mick closes the door of Beth’s apartment. I still to this day, when I hear “Love Remains The Same”…..think of that moment. IThe chemistry they had on screen was so undeniable. That’s what I personally miss the most. They made “a great team” and the romance of MickBeth needs to rise again! And you know, Mick became human once, could he do it again? Come on Mick!
I too will be writing to all of the above by registered mail. A Moonlight movie (Alex and the
gang) on the big screen deserves to be done. All of us Moonlight fans were devastated
(especially Alex) when it was cancelled. They owe it to us and Alex. We must all get
together and make sure the movie is made.
ABSOLUTELY//MUST HAVE SOME CLOSURE ON MOONLIGHT//JUST STARTED WATCHING ON SCIFI AND FELL IN LOVE…MUST HAVE THE WHOLE CAST INCLUED IN A MOVIE..THEY ARE WHY THE SHOW IS SOOOO GREAT..OF COURSE ALEX WAS AWESOME,BUT WITHOUT THE OTHER ACTORS WOULD NOT BE THE SAME…LOVE THIS SHOW AND MISS SO MUCH
I for one will be writing to all of the above. Sending registered as suggested. Love Moonlight and continue to watch the DVD season one over and over. A movie would be great altho there are too many loose ends to be tied. It would at least bring an ending to some of the issues left hanging. I’ve been a fan of vampire movies for a lot of years, but never has there been a vampire like Mick Sf. John. First time we’ve ever had a really “hot” vampire. Lets all get to together and start the campaign for more Moonlight.
i’ve decided to write alex a letter, and i think its actually quite good.
WE ALL NEED MOONLIGHT BACK WITH ALEX SOPHIA AND THE GANG
NEVER LOVED A SHOW AS MUCH AS I LOVE MOONLIGHT AND THERE WILL NEVER BE ANOTHER AFTER MOONLIGHT I WILL NEVER GET TRIED OF WATCHING THE SEASON 1 MUST HAVE WATCHED IT 100 TIME AND I AM STILL WATCHING AND HOPING SEASON 2 ARE A MOVIE IN THE NEAR FUTURE.
IWhat a wonderfully talented person you are to have created the Dracula 2008 Meets Mick and Beth, as well as the Sonata follow up and the “new” Mick and Beth daughter” story! They are all excellent and have me anxiously awaiting the next chapter!
Schatze82,
Hello – you haven’t commented in a while. Just wondering.
Hello to you, too! I visit this site almost every day, as well as the discovergerry site, but am often intimidated by how articulate and imaginative all of you are! So I read your comments and then tell my friends and family about what Alex is doing and what you great fans are writing.
You are one of us, and we missed you when we didn’t see your name appear! So don’t be a stranger around here girlie! Also if your friends and family are Alex fans how about getting some of them writing too? Even if all they do is say they want a moonlight movie, hey that’s one more on the stack in the offices! You don’t have to write a novel or be super smart “I liked this show, and want to see more of it on the Big Screen” will work!
Actually, the day that Tish’s posting came out about the movie crusade, I forwarded it to several people, and they have told me that they wrote letters right away!
I, however, am still “composing” my letter to Mr. Silver. Maybe I’ll send more than one!
I’m glad you are writing again.
It is because the comments are threaded, allowing you to reply to specific comments and not chronologically. I can unthread the comments for the future and make them appear chronologically if ya’ll want.
Tish, you are warned. I don’t care what the reason is… don’t let it happen again. I am not threatening you, I am telling it like it is. The post will stay… you will be the one gone. And don’t give me BS about me harassing people on this thread. Using someone’s else forum to refer traffic over to another one you are affiliated with is unethical and highly rude. And if anyone is being harassed it is me… with emails almost from day one you showed up here asking me to please moderate you so you would stop being so mean to other guests. More than a few folks have been driven away by nasty comments made by you when people have the audicity to disagree with you. If I had a nickel for every complaint I have gotten about you… AND it seems other people on other forums do the same. You certainly have made a reputation for yourself.
Well I will not tolerate it on MY site any more. You don’t speak for all fans you speak for yourself and I am quite frankly sick to death of your lectures about what REAL fans do and what REAL fans think.
Amen, sister! I agree. What’s the big deal? It’s really not a big deal. We all go to different sites all over for different reasons. I’m on MySpace and Facebook as well. I’ve joined stuff about Moonlight and Alex on those, too.
And about the tattoos and piercings again: personally I don’t care for tattoos or excessive body piercing. It’s a little tooooo wild for me, and I hate needles! I have pierced my ears for earrings, but that’s it. Nothing else. However, Alex looks totally yummy just the way he is! I just can’t believe that he allowed someone to photograph his tat on his low back/upper gluts and post it online! It’s like we’re getting mooned! We can see his butt-crack there! That’s private.
Anyway,……..smooches Alex!
