Alex Returning to Pittsburgh Next Month

Some new updates from Rob Owen at the Pittsburgh Post Gazette. Alfre Woodard will join the cast  and take over the role of Dr. Sophia Jordan that was played by Julia Ormond in the pilot episode. I like this news since I rather like Alfre Woodward. Also, Alex O’Loughlin and Katherine Moennig will return to Pittsburgh to shoot scenes sometime next month. Three Rivers Will Shoot in LA

It has been confirmed by the Pittsburgh Post Gazette that future episodes of Three Rivers will be filmed in Los Angeles, not Pittsburgh. This is pretty common for the industry as they usually have contracts with their actors that guarantee they won’t have to be uprooted for filming. According to the article CBS plans to shoot some Pittsburgh scenery and landmarks to make the location believable.

From the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette: One week from today cameras roll in Pittsburgh on the CBS pilot “Three Rivers,” a medical drama about transplant surgeons, donors and recipients.
