Alex O’Loughlin FanArt Whimsical Wednesday

It has been a slow couple of weeks when it comes to new episodes of the show but thankfully there is one on the horizon for Friday. In the meantime to hold you over, it is another edition of Whimsical Wednesday fanart. There is some Mick, Steve, the monthly calendar and more so take a look at the virtual gallery below to see what the creators did this week.

Since it is close to a new month, lets start with the monthly calendar from Silvia. She made an adaptation of this original adorable photo taken by Rachel Cerreto of Alex and Dusty. April is sure to be a good month with this great shot staring at you throughout it. You can download it in English and Spanish from our gallery if you want but please just credit appropriately if you use it online.

Next there is Gaby’s showing and this week her creation is a unique manip piece originally taken from a game. However if you are familiar with the concept of the Illuminati, your imagination could take off around McGarrett and the need to save the world and not just Hawaii this time. The background symbols and lighting also help out as the ideas can begin to flow.

Moving to the wall of Sonja who decided to take on the light and dark side of Mick. All Alex fans know that there were two sides to our favorite vampire, with one as lovable as the other, and Sonja has depicted them well. Mick, as a vampire that did not embrace vampirism, was able to enjoy the lighter side of things every once in a while. If you recall, he even became a human that one time, which is exemplified in the second pic. The colors and background choice of each also clearly reveal each side.

Onto Monika’s wall where there is a creation of a palm tree double exposure concept. The shadows of the trees encompass Steve ensuring not to cover those amazing eyes. The black and white even emphasizes the flow of the tree branches within his hair and makes it really hard to tell where one stops and the other begins.

And for Bryna’s wall, she provided a McGarrett with one of her famous Mc- twists. This one she calls McGuns and although there is a gun visible in the pic, she just might be referring to something else. The lack of vibrant color even brings that out more as you can see Alex’s muscular arms popping through. Also since Bryna is also popular for her movie posters, this is just a movie in the making…it just needs a plot. Any takers?

We also played around a little this week and came up with this concept of the Commander on the wall backlit as if in a gallery. Based on the frayed affect, his eyes and his lips are accentuated a little more and the blue hue color background symbolizes the navy and water.

That wraps for it for another inspiring week of fanart. We will see you next week for even more.  Until then the fun continues as a new episode will bring back the recap, the screencaps, and the Different Points of View real soon. The sneak peeks should also be around the corner to keep the Hawaii Five 0 fandom excitement growing.

A BIG thanks to all the contributors as it takes a village and we appreciate you!
